Location: Budapest, Hungary
Join Axpo Hungary and shape the future of energy trading. Bring your analytical mindset to a dynamic, international team where your ideas directly drive value and innovation in the power and gas markets.
What you will do:
Optimise Axpo's power and gas portfolio in Hungary and extract value from it, including cash flow optimisation for existing and new positions
Develop and implement hedging strategies that balance risk and reward, including creative approaches for structured and non-standard products
Build clear, well-founded pricing models and ad-hoc prices for standard and non-standard products across wholesale and retail
Prepare sensitivity, scenario-based and regulatory impact analyses to support commercial decision-making
Lead negotiations with counterparties and support the front office team with market analyses and hedging strategies
Deliver accurate position and risk reporting, and develop market and fundamental analyses to spot trends and inform decisions
What you bring & who you are:
A university degree in a relevant field such as economics, engineering, mathematics, or finance
At least 5 years of experience in the energy industry – ideally in a commercial or trading role, with experience trading standard and non-standard products
Strong analytical and mathematical skills, comfortable navigating complexity
A solid understanding of European energy markets; knowledge of the Hungarian and CEE power and gas markets is a strong advantage
Fluent in Hungarian and English; German is a plus
Ideally, experience with Excel and trading systems such as Endur, and exposure to gas markets
Even if you don't meet every point on this list, we still encourage you to apply – we value potential and diverse perspectives just as much as experience.

You'll join a collaborative, multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team that works closely with Business Units across Axpo. We value entrepreneurial thinking, integrity, and a hands-on attitude, and we support each other through the energy sector's fast-paced challenges.
