Posting Description

Power Lifecycle Program Broking Leader – Managing Director

Are you an experienced broking leader with a passion for developing innovative solutions and driving market growth? Do you thrive at the intersection of technical expertise, client strategy, and commercial execution? This is an opportunity to lead the growth and evolution of Aon’s Power Lifecycle Program and help shape the future of power infrastructure risk solutions!

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from an Aon office.

Aon is in the business of better decisions

At Aon, we shape decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world.

As an organization, we are united through trust as one inclusive team and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.

What the day will look like

The Power Lifecycle Program Broking Leader will be responsible for driving the growth, execution, and continued evolution of Aon’s Power Lifecycle Program (PLP). This leader will establish strategic direction for the program while partnering with brokers, producers, clients, insurers, reinsurers, and colleagues across Aon to increase adoption and deliver differentiated solutions. The role will also maintain responsibility as a lead senior broker for key, critical clients.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Own and execute the PLP growth strategy, including development and management of the opportunity pipeline and advancement of strategic client opportunities.
  • Expand carrier participation and capacity, manage key carrier relationships, and lead underwriting and facility negotiations.
  • Partner with producers and brokers to increase adoption while developing sales strategies, training, and educational materials to enable consistent execution across regions and practices.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for PLP placements, supporting major pursuits and empowering Power & Renewables brokers to successfully position and deliver the program.
  • Lead the continued evolution of the program by monitoring performance, incorporating market feedback, identifying product enhancements, and advancing new market opportunities.
  • Drive alignment across Power & Renewables, Digital Infrastructure, Construction, AGRC, Capital Advisory, and analytics teams to deliver integrated solutions across the project lifecycle.
  • Connect PLP with Aon’s broader power-sector and digital infrastructure initiatives, including the Data Center Lifecycle Program.

How this opportunity is different

This is a highly visible leadership opportunity to drive the commercialization and expansion of a differentiated Aon solution at the intersection of power generation, infrastructure, and risk.

Rather than focusing solely on individual placements, this role will have responsibility for scaling the Power Lifecycle Program by bringing together broking expertise, market development, product strategy, and commercial execution. The successful candidate will collaborate across Power & Renewables, Digital Infrastructure, Construction, AGRC, Capital Advisory, and analytics teams while building strong relationships with clients, lenders, insurers, and reinsurers.

This role offers the opportunity to shape how Aon supports power projects throughout their lifecycle, from construction through operations, while strengthening collaboration across practices and helping drive growth in the broader power and digital infrastructure markets.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Demonstrated senior-level broking expertise within power, renewables, energy, construction, infrastructure, or other relevant complex commercial risk environments, with the ability to lead strategic client engagements and sophisticated placements.
  • Proven ability to develop and commercialize insurance solutions, translate complex technical and insurance concepts into compelling client strategies, and identify opportunities for product and market development.
  • Strong commercial leadership skills with experience developing opportunity pipelines, supporting major pursuits, driving adoption, and partnering with producers and brokers to generate growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships across multiple stakeholder groups, including clients, insurers, reinsurers, brokers, and internal business partners, while influencing and aligning teams across practices and geographies.
  • Strategic and collaborative leadership style with the ability to develop talent, share technical expertise, scale knowledge across broking teams, and drive consistent execution of complex solutions.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of proven industry experience.

For positions in San Francisco and Los Angeles, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction record in accordance with local Fair Chance ordinances.

Aon is not accepting unsolicited resumes from search firms for this position. If you are a search firm, you will not be compensated in any way for your submission of a candidate, even if Aon hires that candidate.
