About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 and Power Platform lead to guide the design, development, and delivery of SharePoint Online, Power Platform, and Power BI solutions. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on expertise. The ideal candidate leads projects from concept to launch, works directly with business stakeholders to identify needs and opportunities for improvement, recommends the right solutions, and ensures the team delivers secure, accessible, and well-designed products.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Work with a team and help define Microsoft 365 and Power Platform projects end to end, including scoping, planning, estimating, execution, and delivery
- Serve as technical lead and subject matter expert, providing direction and mentorship to developers and team members
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify pain points, manual processes, and opportunities for automation or modernization
- Assess requirements and recommend the most appropriate solution across SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dynamics 365
- Develop solution roadmaps, prioritize work, and communicate status, risks, and tradeoffs to leadership
- Establish and enforce development standards, governance, and best practices for the Microsoft 365 environment
Design and Development
- Design SharePoint Online modern sites, including information architecture, navigation, page layouts, content types, metadata, and branding
- Produce wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to validate designs with stakeholders before development
- Build and oversee business applications using Power Apps (canvas and model-driven) and workflows using Power Automate
- Design and oversee Power BI reports and dashboards, including data modeling, DAX, and row-level security
- Configure Dataverse and, where applicable, Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement applications
- Ensure all solutions meet Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards
- Review team deliverables for quality, performance, security, and maintainability
Required Professional Skills:
- 5+ years of experience with Microsoft 365 technologies, including SharePoint Online, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI
- Technical lead, solutions architect, or project lead role experience delivering Microsoft 365 or Power Platform solutions
- Demonstrated experience leading multiple projects simultaneously from requirements through deployment
- Proven ability to engage stakeholders, identify business needs, and translate them into practical technical solutions
- Strong portfolio of SharePoint site designs and Power Platform applications
- Experience mentoring developers and conducting design and code reviews
- Working knowledge of Section 508 accessibility requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to leadership
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
Preferred Professional Skills:
- Experience in Microsoft 365 GCC environments
- Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement implementation or configuration experience
- SharePoint Framework (SPFx), PnP PowerShell, and JSON column and view formatting
- Microsoft certifications such as Power Platform Solution Architect (PL-600), Power Platform Developer (PL-400), or Power BI Data Analyst (PL-300)
- Agile or project management experience; PMP, CSM, or similar certification a plus
- Prior federal government experience
