The Role

E-Frontiers is currently recruiting an experienced Power Platform & Integration Solution Developer for a well-established public sector client on a 12-month day-rate contract.

This is a hands-on technical role focused on reviewing, integrating and enhancing a range of existing business-critical applications and systems.

Working closely with the client's internal ICT team and key business stakeholders, you will assess the current application, database and integration landscape and design and deliver robust solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, SQL Server and Microsoft 365.

The successful candidate will work across the full solution lifecycle, from architecture assessment and technical design through development, testing, deployment, documentation and handover into BAU support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review existing applications, databases, integrations and solution architecture and provide technical recommendations.
  • Produce technical specifications covering architecture, risks, security, scalability, performance and supportability.
  • Design and develop solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate and SQL Server.
  • Build responsive Power Apps applications for desktop, mobile and field-based users.
  • Configure integrations between Power Platform, Microsoft 365 and other operational and business systems.
  • Integrate solutions with SharePoint Online, Teams, Planner and third-party systems.
  • Develop integrations using REST APIs, JSON and standard or custom connectors.
  • Implement appropriate security, role-based access, audit, governance and deployment controls.
  • Support application lifecycle management, managed solutions, environments and deployment pipelines.
  • Develop operational reporting, KPIs and Power BI dashboards.
  • Prepare test plans, maintain test evidence and defect records, and support UAT and business sign-off.
  • Produce user, administrator, technical and deployment documentation.
  • Lead production deployment, stabilisation and troubleshooting.
  • Provide knowledge transfer and ensure solutions are successfully transitioned into BAU support.

Essential Experience

  • 5+ years' experience in Power Platform development, solution architecture or a closely related role.
  • Experience across at least three assignments involving Power Apps, Power Automate, SQL Server and Microsoft 365 integration.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Power Apps Canvas Apps, Power Fx and Power Automate.
  • Experience assessing existing solution designs and documenting architecture, security, scalability, performance and supportability findings.
  • Full lifecycle delivery experience covering design, development, testing, deployment, documentation and handover.
  • Strong experience with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), managed solutions, environments and controlled deployments.
  • Experience implementing role-based access, monitoring and governance controls.
  • Strong SQL Server experience, including data modelling, performance tuning and secure integration.
  • Experience developing applications supporting mobile or field-based users.
  • Strong testing, troubleshooting, documentation and knowledge-transfer skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Relevant third-level qualification or equivalent professional experience.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert
  • Power Platform deployment pipelines and environment management
  • SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams and Planner integrations
  • REST APIs, JSON and custom connectors
  • Azure Functions
  • Microsoft Entra ID
  • Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies and Power Platform governance
  • Power BI reporting and dashboard development
  • Offline capability within Power Apps
  • Experience with asset management, maintenance, work management or operational planning solutions

About You

You will be a strong hands-on Power Platform developer who is equally comfortable assessing an existing technical environment and building solutions.

You will be confident challenging existing designs, identifying technical risks and clearly documenting recommendations. You should have experience delivering complex Power Platform integrations, rather than solely developing standalone applications.

You will also be comfortable taking ownership through to production deployment and ensuring internal teams have the documentation and knowledge required to support the solution following handover.

Please note: This opportunity is with a public sector organisation, however the end client is confidential at this stage. Further project and client information will be provided to suitable candidates during the recruitment process.
