NordVPN is one of the world's most recognized consumer cybersecurity brands, helping millions of people protect their privacy and stay safe online. Built by Nord Security, a company with its roots in Vilnius, NordVPN has a global reach.
We're looking for a PR Manager to shape how NordVPN shows up in global media. You'll turn complex security and privacy topics into stories people want to read, from product launches and original research to expert commentary on data breaches, scams, or other privacy topics. This role suits someone who enjoys moving between audiences and topics, and who sees a fast-changing threat landscape as a reason to be proactive, not reactive.
If you are ready to architect compelling PR initiatives across fast-moving privacy and security topics, elevate our presence in the community, and be part of communications initiatives that go far beyond standard announcements, then hey – you might be the perfect fit for this role.
Main Responsibilities
Develop and execute PR strategies across international media channels;
Build and maintain trusted relationships with priority media outlets, industry stakeholders, and other influential external audiences worldwide;
Analyze cybersecurity, privacy, and tech trends to identify content ideas and proactive PR opportunities;
Produce high-quality content for the media, utilizing strong research skills to quickly master new topics;
Prepare spokespeople and support crisis and reputation management when needed;
Prioritize, manage, and efficiently drive multiple PR campaigns from ideation to successful execution;
Track and report campaign impact with clear metrics, and use the insights to refine strategy.
Use AI tools and emerging technologies to speed up research, monitoring, and content production.
Core Requirements
4+ years of experience in public relations and communications (required);
Fluency in spoken and written English (required);
Excellent copywriting skills, with the ability to adapt your voice to different audiences and channels (required);
Strong understanding of international and local media, and a solid understanding of media ecosystems across Europe and beyond;
Sound judgment, discretion, resilience, and confidence when operating in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment alongside a motivated team;
Ability to quickly research and master complex technical topics such as online privacy, VPNs, data breaches, and AI;
Proven ability to collaborate, compromise, and align multiple stakeholders with differing viewpoints;
Comfort using data and insights to shape strategy, measure results, and fuel a growth mindset;
A genuine interest in technology, a willingness to keep learning, and a proactive, can-do attitude.
Nice to Have
Experience in crisis communications or reputation management;
Experience with product launches or research-driven PR (surveys, data studies);
Working knowledge of a third language, such as German, French, Spanish, or a Nordic language;
Hands-on experience with PR and AI tools (media monitoring, media databases, analytics).
