Médecins Sans Frontières is an independent, international medical and humanitarian organization that provides care to people in need, people affected by natural or man-made disasters, and victims of armed conflict, without discrimination and without regard to race, religion, creed or political affiliation (MSF Charter).

The MSF movement is built around 5 operational centers supported by 24 sections and offices worldwide. MSF Operational Center Geneva (MSF OCG) is one of these centres.

Ärzte ohne Grenzen/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) ist eine internationale medizinische Nothilfeorganisationen und leistet in über 70 Ländern Hilfe für Menschen, deren Leben oder Gesundheit bedroht sind und die keinen ausreichenden Zugang zu medizinischer Versorgung haben. Unsere Teams sind unter anderem in bewaffneten Konflikten, bei Epidemien und Pandemien, nach Naturkatastrophen sowie in Kontexten tätig, in denen Menschen vom Gesundheitswesen ausgeschlossen sind.

Das Praktikum bietet einen praxisnahen Einblick in die Medienarbeit von Ärzte ohne Grenzen. Ein zentraler Bestandteil ist das Prinzip der «Témoignage» (Zeugenschaft): Neben der medizinischen Hilfe gehört es zum Auftrag von Ärzte ohne Grenzen, über die Situation von Patient:innen und Einsatzteams vor Ort zu berichten und auf Krisen und Konflikte aufmerksam zu machen – insbesondere dort, wo sie abseits der öffentlichen Wahrnehmung stattfinden.

Aufgaben

• Bearbeiten von Medienanfragen (Onlinemedien, Tageszeitungen, Magazine, Fachpresse, TV und Radio).
• Unterstützung bei der Organisation von Pressebriefings für UN-Korrespondent:innen in Genf.
• Koordination von Interviews mit MSF-Expert:innen und Projektmitarbeitenden.
• Recherche und Aufbereitung von Inhalten für Medienangebote.
• Erstellung wöchentlicher Berichte über die Medienpräsenz von MSF in der Schweiz.

Profil

• Gute Kenntnisse der Schweizer Medienlandschaft
• Redaktionelle Fähigkeiten und journalistisches Gespür
• Organisationstalent, zielgerichtete und effiziente Arbeitsweise
• Interesse an humanitären Themen
  

Sprachen

• Ausgezeichnete Deutschkenntnisse (mündlich und schriftlich)
• Gute Französisch- und Englischkenntnisse
  

Arbeitsbedingungen

• Praktikumsdauer: 9 Monate
• Umfang: 100%-Pensum
• Arbeitsort: Genf (mit Praktikumsvereinbarung) oder Zürich (Möglichkeit von 1-2 Tagen Homeoffice pro Woche)
• Arbeitsbeginn: Januar 2027
• Lohn: Brutto CHF 2'000.- pro Monat
