Pre Sales Solutions Engineer (AI/NLP – Enterprise Software) – Hybrid, Munich

We are working with a fast-growing AI startup solving a costly, high-stakes problem for industrial manufacturers: when responding to large tenders and RFQs, teams face thousands of complex requirements, norms, and standards under tight deadlines. Manual analysis leads to missed requirements, wrong planning, and non-conformance costs that can eat up to 10% of annual revenue. This role exists to make sure enterprise clients actually realise that value in practice - owning the demos, onboarding, and edge-case problem-solving that turn a powerful AI platform into a trusted part of a customer's daily workflow.

REQUIRED PROFILE

• 5+ years in technical sales, solutions engineering, or a similar customer-facing role within enterprise software

• Genuine customer-facing ownership - not just demo support: comfortable leading a room of 6-7 stakeholders, handling escalation, and building trust from a standing start

• Strong "consultancy toolkit" polish - structuring client conversations, reading the room, taking feedback in stride, comfortable saying "I don't know, I'll find out"

• Enterprise software background required; industrial, energy, or deep-tech SaaS experience a strong plus

• High tolerance for ambiguity and genuine startup pace - this is not a 9-to-5, big-company environment

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Strong hands-on Python - scripting for data processing, ETL workflows, and API integrations (not just analysis notebooks)

• Ability to work with enterprise datasets and translate complex customer scenarios into structured solutions

• University degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field

NICE TO HAVE

• NLP/AI domain exposure, or experience with requirements/document management ecosystems

• Industrial manufacturing, energy, or EPC sector background

• German language skills (not essential - ~90% of communication is in English)

Compensation: €85k – €100k base (with review after probation) + bonus, OTE approx. €115k – €150k, plus equity
