Premises Liability Associate, Mid-Level to Senior

About the Role

Join a growing litigation defense team handling premises liability matters for a range of business clients. You will manage cases through all phases of litigation, work closely with lead attorneys, and gain meaningful client and courtroom experience.

What You'll Do

• Take and defend depositions, attend court hearings, and participate in site inspections.

• Draft and respond to written discovery, including interrogatories, document requests, and requests for admission.

• Manage cases from initial evaluation through resolution, including developing filing strategy and preparing case evaluations.

• Communicate proactively with clients and insurance carriers, and prepare clear status reports.

• Analyze and execute litigation strategies to support client objectives.

What We're Looking For

• At least 5 years of civil litigation defense experience, including demonstrated premises liability defense work.

• Significant experience taking and defending depositions, ideally 20 or more.

• Experience with written discovery, law and motion practice, and independently managing a full caseload from intake through resolution.

• Active California State Bar membership in good standing.

• Ability to meet an annual billable hours target of approximately 1,920.

• Familiarity with tools such as Zoom and Outlook.

• Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary range: $135,000 to $185,000. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Location

Hybrid work arrangement, with offices in Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego, California. The primary location is Los Angeles.
