Premises Liability Associate, Mid-Level to Senior

About the Role

Join a team handling a varied civil defense caseload focused on premises liability, including slip-and-fall and corporate premises claims. You will work across all phases of litigation, with client exposure and opportunities to build trial experience.

What You'll Do

• Take and defend depositions, attend court hearings, and participate in site inspections.

• Draft and respond to written discovery, including interrogatories, document requests, and requests for admission.

• Manage cases from initial evaluation through discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and resolution.

• Develop case strategy, including preparing pleadings and motions such as demurrers and summary judgment motions.

• Communicate with clients and carriers, provide status reports, and prepare case evaluations.

What We're Looking For

• Five to 15 years of civil litigation defense experience, including premises liability matters.

• Experience with defense-side slip-and-fall, retail, or corporate premises claims.

• Substantial deposition experience, including taking and defending depositions.

• Experience with written discovery, law and motion practice, and end-to-end case management.

• Ability to independently manage a full caseload and meet a 1,920-hour annual billable requirement.

• Juris Doctor degree and active California State Bar membership in good standing.

• Comfort using Zoom and Outlook for day-to-day work.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary range: $135,000 to $185,000 annually. Employer visa sponsorship is not available.

Hybrid role based in Los Angeles, California, with remote flexibility.
