Are you an experienced project or programme professional with a passion for improving population health outcomes? Do you thrive in partnership environments where collaboration, influence and delivery are key?
We are seeking a talented Prevention Accelerator Delivery Manager to lead and coordinate the delivery of South Yorkshire's innovative Prevention Accelerator Programme. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in improving the prevention and management of cardiovascular, renal and metabolic diseases across the region, helping to reduce health inequalities and improve outcomes for thousands of residents.
Applications must be accompanied by a cover letter to detail how you meet the criteria as detailed within the role profile (please see role profile attached). Please note, all applications should be made directly via our careers portal.
About the role
As the Prevention Accelerator Delivery Manager, you will provide leadership and coordination across a portfolio of workstreams that form part of the Prevention Accelerator pilot programme. Although this role is based within SYMCA's Health Directorate, you will spend the majority of your time working with NHS Integrated Care Board colleagues, as you work across organisational boundaries to ensure the programme is delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards.
What You'll Be Doing
- Coordinating Prevention Accelerator workstreams through recognised project management approaches and methodologies.
- Managing delivery plans, milestones, risks, issues and dependencies to ensure successful programme delivery.
- Coordinating governance arrangements, senior oversight meetings and stakeholder communications.
- Producing high-quality reports, briefings and performance updates to support decision-making and assurance processes.
- Monitoring programme budgets, resources and delivery performance to ensure value for money and compliance with funding requirements.
- Building effective relationships with NHS partners, stakeholders, delivery partners and local communities.
- Supporting procurement, commissioning, grant or contract management activities where required.
- Coordinating workstream leads to maintain focus on priorities and agreed outcomes.
About you
You'll be an organised and proactive programme or project professional with experience of supporting the delivery of complex projects, programmes or partnerships.
You will be comfortable working with a range of stakeholders, building positive working relationships and coordinating activity across different organisations. Experience of working with or alongside NHS organisations, integrated care systems or wider health partnerships would be highly beneficial.
You'll be able to manage competing priorities, monitor progress against plans and support effective governance and reporting arrangements. You'll have strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to prepare reports, analyse information and present updates clearly to different audiences. You will be confident using your initiative, solving problems and helping partners work together to achieve shared objectives.
Most importantly, you'll be motivated by the opportunity to improve outcomes for South Yorkshire residents and contribute to our ambition of making South Yorkshire the healthiest region in the country.
