Position Overview:
As the Pricing Manager, you will lead the Price Analysis team and oversee the processes, analytics, and systems that support effective pricing decisions across Composites One. You will manage the end-to-end customer price change and notification process, develop pricing analytics and performance reporting, and deliver actionable insights that support margin enhancement and overall profitability.
In this highly collaborative role, you will partner closely with Product Management, Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, and Data Management to ensure pricing information is accurate, processes are efficient, and pricing strategies are effectively executed. You will also provide leadership and development to the Price Analysis team while driving continuous improvement, automation, and data integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Pricing Operations & Price Change Management
- Lead the end-to-end price change process across all product lines, managing approximately 350 supplier price increase events annually.
- Ensure approved supplier cost increases are accurately translated into corresponding customer price changes and notifications.
- Oversee the accurate and timely loading of approved customer price increases into SAP.
- Ensure supplier price lists, website pricing, Planned Vendor Cost (PVC) records, and related pricing data are accurately maintained.
- Coordinate with Product Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, Group Pricing, and Price Support teams throughout the price change process.
- Validate customer pricing changes, effective dates, and notifications to ensure alignment with Company and contractual requirements.
- Partner with Sales and Customer Service to resolve customer pricing discrepancies.
Drive Pricing Analytics & Margin Enhancement
- Develop and maintain pricing scorecards, performance metrics, and reporting to support business and leadership decisions.
- Analyze pricing data to identify margin erosion, pricing opportunities, and recommended corrective actions.
- Partner with Product Managers on pricing elasticity studies and strategies designed to enhance margins.
- Provide pricing analysis and insights to Finance, Marketing, and other business partners in support of profitability goals.
- Utilize Vistex, Incorta BI, and other reporting tools to evaluate price increase effectiveness and identify opportunities for margin growth.
- Review pricing guidance and related tools to help drive effective pricing behaviors throughout the commercial organization.
Improve Processes & Data Integrity
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, expand automation, and strengthen pricing processes.
- Partner with Data Management and other stakeholders to maintain accurate and reliable pricing data.
- Support SAP and Vistex initiatives, including requirements gathering, testing, implementation, and training.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reporting, workflows, and overall pricing operations.
Partner Across the Organization
- Serve as a key liaison between suppliers and internal stakeholders regarding price changes, cost impacts, and price support.
- Partner with Procurement to validate upstream pricing data before implementation.
- Work closely with the Price Support team to ensure effective communication and information sharing.
- Provide guidance to Product Managers regarding supplier price increase strategies and expectations.
- Monitor adherence to established Price Change Guidelines and address issues as needed.
Lead & Develop the Price Analysis Team
- Attract, hire, develop, and retain Price Analyst and Price Coordinator talent.
- Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and developmental leadership to enhance individual and team performance.
- Establish performance objectives, development plans, and training priorities for direct reports.
- Lead project teams through successful implementations and organizational initiatives.
- Develop and deliver pricing-related training for Sales, Customer Service, Procurement, and other internal teams.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and results-driven team environment aligned with Composites One values.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of related professional experience, including experience in pricing and data analysis.
- Minimum of 2 years of direct people-management experience.
- Working knowledge of pricing concepts, practices, processes, and analytical techniques.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret pricing and business data and translate findings into actionable insights.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop team members.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels of an organization.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills, business judgment, and continuous improvement mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP and Vistex.
- Experience with Incorta or a comparable business intelligence/reporting platform.
- Experience within a business-to-business (B2B), distribution, or price support environment.
- Experience supporting or leading pricing process improvements, automation, or system implementations.
- Experience partnering cross-functionally with Finance, Product Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, Sales, or related business functions.
Work Location & Schedule:
- This is a hybrid position based out of our corporate office in Schaumburg, IL, with an expectation of working onsite three (3) days per week and remotely two (2) days per week.

Employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen and background check. This requirement is especially critical for safety-sensitive roles.
The annual base salary range for this position is $138,000 - $154,000. The actual pay will be determined based on factors such as location, experience, skills, and qualifications. In addition to the base salary, employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
