Principal AI Product Manager

What You Can Expect

As a Principal AI Product Manager at Zoom AI Services, you will own meaningful product outcomes at the intersection of AI innovation, platform strategy, and developer experience, shaping how developers and enterprises build intelligent applications. This role demands hands-on craft across product strategy, experience design, rapid prototyping, and execution, with the autonomy to define new AI-native product development patterns from first principles. You will work alongside a fast-moving, highly collaborative team, partnering with engineering, AI research, design, and go-to-market teams to build developer tools that move from concept to customer adoption with speed and quality. This is a hybrid position that requires on-site presence 3 to 4 days per week at our Seattle, WA or San Jose, CA office. Remote arrangements are not available for this role.

About the Team

Zoom AI Services is building the next generation of AI capabilities and developer experiences, enabling developers and enterprises to create intelligent applications and agents through state-of-the-art speech recognition, decision intelligence, voice AI, and agentic capabilities. Responsibilities

• Define and drive product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Zoom AI Services experiences, from developer onboarding and API discovery to production adoption.
• Identify differentiation opportunities through AI-native interaction patterns and product-led growth, translating emerging AI capabilities and developer needs into products with measurable customer and business impact.
• Lead end-to-end experience design from concept and interaction models to production-ready designs, applying UX, visual design, and systems thinking to simplify complex AI and developer workflows.
• Prototype, test, and iterate rapidly using Figma, AI-assisted coding, and modern development tools, maintaining a high bar for usability, visual quality, and consistency.
• Leverage AI as a daily creative and execution partner for research, ideation, prototyping, and experimentation, exploring new interaction models for AI agents, multimodal experiences, and developer tools.
• Partner with engineering, AI researchers, design, developer relations, and go-to-market teams to bring products from ambiguous opportunity to successful launch.
• Own success metrics across developer activation, time to first value, adoption, retention, and customer satisfaction, making thoughtful trade-offs between customer value, technical feasibility, and speed.
• Shape product direction across teams through strong judgment, clear communication, and demonstrated results, operating as a hands-on individual contributor rather than through organizational authority.

What We're Looking For

• Significant experience leading complex, high-impact technology products, with a proven track record of taking ambiguous opportunities from strategy to successful launch.
• Strong professional foundation in UX and product design, demonstrated through a portfolio of shipped products with outstanding interaction and visual design quality.
• Hands-on experience using generative AI, AI coding assistants, and rapid prototyping tools to accelerate product discovery, design, and development.
• Ability to work closely with engineers, understand APIs and platform capabilities, and translate sophisticated technology into intuitive customer experiences.
• Experience building developer platforms, APIs, enterprise SaaS, AI products, or similarly complex technical experiences.
• Comfort making decisions, building prototypes, and shipping in fast-moving environments with evolving priorities and minimal overhead.
• Demonstrated ability to shape strategy and raise the quality bar across teams while thriving as a hands-on individual contributor.

Salary Range or On Target Earnings:

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations
