About the Role
Lead analog and mixed-signal design for next-generation computing chips at an early-stage company developing probabilistic computing technology. You will help shape chip architecture and work across circuit design, systems, physics, and algorithms.
What You'll Do
Design analog and mixed-signal blocks, including ADCs, PLLs, bandgaps, regulators, high-speed SerDes, oscillators, and dividers.
Own substantial parts of chip architecture and potentially lead design for an upcoming chip.
Perform hands-on layout and design verification, including DRC, ERC, and LVS.
Collaborate across teams to translate probabilistic computing concepts into silicon implementations.
Help test and validate fabricated chips in the lab using signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
What We're Looking For
Six or more years of analog and mixed-signal IC design experience, including work on blocks such as PLLs, ADCs, or SerDes.
CMOS circuit design expertise and experience completing multiple tape-outs, including in FinFET or 28nm/65nm processes.
Proficiency with Cadence simulation, including parasitic extraction, Monte Carlo analysis, and process corners.
Hands-on layout experience and familiarity with physical verification.
An MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering with a focus on circuits or IC design.
Experience across multiple circuit types and willingness to take on practical tasks beyond a narrow specialty.
Experience in a startup or similarly hands-on environment is valuable.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary range: $200,000 to $325,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
Location
Hybrid, with three days per week on-site in Boston, Massachusetts, United States.
