About the Role
Join a small AI and computing hardware team developing CMOS chips for probabilistic computing. As Principal Analog/Mixed Signal Engineer, you will lead circuit design and help define chip architecture from concept through tape-out and lab validation.
What You'll Do
Design analog and mixed-signal blocks, including ADCs, PLLs, bandgaps, regulators, high-speed SerDes, oscillators, and dividers.
Own significant portions of chip architecture and potentially lead circuit design for a planned chip.
Perform hands-on layout and design verification, including DRC, ERC, and LVS.
Work with IC, systems, physics, and algorithms teams to translate probabilistic computing concepts into silicon.
Help test and validate fabricated chips using lab equipment such as signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
What We're Looking For
6 to 20 years of analog and mixed-signal IC design experience, including work on blocks such as PLLs, ADCs, or SerDes.
An MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering focused on circuits or IC design.
CMOS circuit design expertise and multiple tape-outs, including experience with FinFET or 28nm/65nm processes.
Proficiency with Cadence simulation, including parasitic extraction, Monte Carlo analysis, and process corners.
Hands-on layout experience and the ability to work across circuit types and responsibilities in a small-team environment.
Experience with Python and C is relevant to the role.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary is $200,000 to $325,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
Location
Hybrid, with three days per week on-site in Boston, Massachusetts, United States.
