Location: Kirkland, WA (Hybrid: 2–3
days/week remote)
Compensation: $152,072 – $242,920/year
+ Quarterly Profit Sharing
A leading global aerospace
electronics innovator is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to
serve as the subject matter expert and technical lead for cutting-edge cabin
power conversion systems. In this role, you will lead the architecture, design,
and DO-160/airframe certification of next-generation aircraft in-seat power
supplies and USB charging solutions, while spearheading forward-looking
R&D.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, design, and validate aerospace-grade power
supplies and power conversion systems from concept through full
certification.
- Drive targeted R&D into emerging topologies,
resonant converters, and digital power control methods.
- Perform simulations and trade studies using OrCAD,
SPICE, and SABER.
- Lead, mentor, and technically direct project
engineering teams and support new business proposals.
- Own design reviews, compliance documentation, and
root-cause failure analyses.
Requirements
- BSEE required.
- 12+ years of relevant electrical design experience
focused on power supplies/power conversion.
- Deep expertise in resonant power converter topologies
and digital control techniques.
- Proven track record designing to DO-160, Boeing, or
Airbus certification standards.
- Experience leading engineering teams or complex
developmental hardware programs.
- Must meet U.S. Person export-control eligibility
requirements.
