Principal Technology Product Manager – Platform

We are partnering with an established international technology company (SAAS) to appoint a Principal Technology Product Manager.
This is a senior individual contributor position for an experienced technical Product Manager who enjoys working at the intersection of product, engineering and architecture. You will have responsibilities across APIs, identity and access, MCP, notifications, reporting and shared platform capabilities used by multiple product teams.
You will take ownership of strategically important platform capabilities that support multiple products and engineering teams, helping shape the longer-term platform strategy while solving complex technical and commercial problems.
The role will involve:
- Defining product strategy and roadmap for shared technology and platform capabilities
- Working closely with engineering and architecture teams on technical priorities and trade-offs
- Developing and evolving API and integration capabilities, shape developer tooling and shared platform capabilities
- Own the MCP server strategy end-to-end
- Prioritising requirements across multiple internal stakeholders and product areas
- Establishing clear measures around platform adoption, reliability and performance
- Supporting the development of scalable technical standards and documentation
- Contributing to how emerging AI technologies are incorporated into the wider technology platform
We’re looking for:
- Extensive experience in Product Management
- Strong experience in technical, platform or infrastructure-focused product environments
- Good knowledge of APIs, integrations and modern SaaS architecture; Understanding of API concepts including REST, webhooks, versioning and rate limiting
- Exposure to identity and access management would be beneficial (OAuth, OIDC, SSO or directory synchronisation)
- The technical depth to work credibly with experienced engineers and architects
- Experience managing competing priorities across multiple teams
- Strong judgement and the ability to operate effectively in technically complex and ambiguous environments
Experience with developer platforms, AI/agent technologies or related emerging technologies would be an advantage.
The position is open to candidates based across Ireland and offers a high degree of flexibility.
