Role
We are looking for a Principal Product Specialist – Browser Security to join our team. This is a Hybrid (Bangalore) role, reporting to the Director, Threat Researcher in the Engineering department. Zscaler is seeking a hands-on technical specialist to drive customer adoption and secure enterprise sales wins.
In this technical, customer-facing role, you will collaborate with Sales, Product, and Engineering to lead product walkthroughs, technical workshops, proof-of-value engagements, deployments, and live troubleshooting. You will translate browser security capabilities into clear business outcomes for CISOs, security leaders, and architects.
What you’ll do (Role Expectations)
- Serve as Zscaler’s Browser Security technical specialist, leading customer discovery, demos, solution deep dives, and architecture discussions
- Own or support POCs / POVs, including success criteria definition, test planning, execution support, and outcome validation
- Help customers design and validate browser-layer security controls and use cases, including threat prevention, protection against browser-delivered attacks, in-browser data protection, secure workflows, and policy-based browser controls
- Work directly with security architects, SOC teams, endpoint teams, application security teams, and CISO-level stakeholders
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Sales, Product, Engineering, Customer Success) to provide deployment guidance, policy recommendations, and troubleshooting during customer evaluations, supporting US East timezone calls as needed

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
- Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging, securing, or positioning AI-driven solutions to optimize outcomes within your functional domain
- 7–12 years of cybersecurity experience (web security, pentesting, or product specialization) within a security vendor, VAR, systems integrator, or enterprise security team
- Hands-on experience with browser security controls and a strong understanding of web threat prevention, client-side attack surfaces, browser exploitation, phishing defense, in-browser data protection, and secure enterprise browsing, along with browser-related endpoint and network controls
- Proven experience driving enterprise engagements (POCs, POVs, deployments) and delivering technical workshops and walkthroughs to both executive and practitioner audiences
- Strong understanding of web and security fundamentals, including HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS, DNS, browser architecture, web threats, enterprise access controls, and data protection
- Cross-functional collaborator comfortable with direct customer interaction, live troubleshooting, hands-on technical problem solving, and supporting US East timezone meetings as needed
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Proven ability to leverage AI technologies and workflows to drive measurable operational efficiency
- Software engineering or product development experience with browser controls, web inspection, threat detection, telemetry, policy enforcement engines, and endpoint agents or extensions
- Prior experience in applied security roles, including security research, red teaming, penetration testing, threat/malware analysis, or application security engineering
