In this role, your key responsibilities include: Manage design, implementation and technical artefacts for technology lifecycles and within ADCB engineering standards and guardrails to ensure successful achievement of implementation plans. Build and implement standard and repeatable design patterns, components and technology solutions in order to deliver on business objectives, customer needs and ensure security, scalability, reliability and performance. Maintain and share current thinking and trends around technology trends and practices, mentoring and coaching engineers to ensure inclusion of best practice and skills modernisation. Maintain and share current thinking and trends around technology trends and practices, mentoring and coaching engineers to ensure inclusion of best practice and skills modernisation cross-functional squads in order to achieve agreed turnaround times (TATs) and implementation plan. Guide, coach and role model a data-driven approach in order to maximize performance, including producing reporting and insights. Play a lead role with engineering teams and squads around change control, testing, incident management, troubleshooting and release management to ensure successful implementation. Identify opportunities for innovation and improvements in software development process and tools to ensure best practice solutions are considered consistently. Contribute to engineering acceleration initiatives across ADCB to ensure best practice solutions delivery within agreed TATs. Oversee coordination with external vendors to ensure services are provided as per agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and TATs and remediation plans in place for variances beyond tolerance thresholds. Work closely with solution architects and vendors in order to enhance ADCB capabilities and address technical debt. Organize and supervise the activities and work of the team to ensure that targets and objectives are achieved and the business plan is delivered in line with the required policies, processes, procedures and systems. The ideal candidate should have the following experience: At least 5 years of experience in design and deployment of an enterprise class network in a mid/large organization with at least 3 years of experience in incident management and resolution, managing software releases and configuration management, Banking operations and related problems. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent Cisco Certified Internetwork Engineer (Data Centre, Security, Route/Switch) or equivalent Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) – Foundation Course for IT Service Management Data Network technologies and protocols (i.e. routers, switches, network controllers, NFV, BGP, MPLS, QoS, DNS/DHCP).
