OUR TEAM
Our Munitions teams in Benalla and Mulwala produce propellants, explosives and munitions for defence and commercial uses. With ongoing investment into research and development, we produce some of the world’s most high-performing guided weapons and explosive ordnance systems. And being at the forefront of a rapidly evolving industry gives our teams constant opportunities to build on their technical expertise.
YOUR ROLE
Working at our sites in Benalla and Mulwala - Pangerang and Yorta Yorta land, your role purpose is to act as central point of technical authority ensuring we deliver on our product industrialisation strategy and roadmap. Essentially you will:
- Drive Industrialisation Strategy – Translate client requirements into actionable business cases, bid proposals and capture plans, shaping the roadmap for product industrialisation.
- Own Technical Authority – Oversee technical commissioning of production processes, equipment, V&V planning and quality control, ensuring operational excellence and compliance.
- Optimise Production Capability – Assess existing assets for higher-value applications, evaluate ROI on capital investments, and drive efficiency improvements to maximise industrialisation returns.
- Govern Cross-Functional Collaboration – Act as the central technical authority, aligning engineering, safety, procurement, and regulatory teams to deliver mission-critical outcomes
YOUR EXPERIENCE
On day one in this role, we'll expect you to bring the following skills, experience and behaviours:
- Ability to drive strategic and project-level engineering with experience in corporate strategy, complex industrialisation projects, and cross-functional collaboration in high-stakes environments.
- Proven track record with governance and stakeholder management, liaising with safety, regulatory, and technical authorities while aligning internal teams and customers to deliver mission-critical outcomes.
- Relevant experience managing contracts and sub-contracts and planning and establishing work packages
- Exceptional communication skills to communicate industrialisation vision
AUSTRALIAN DEFENCE ROLES & SECURITY
A Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.

In some cases, individuals who hold a current clearance from a foreign government may be eligible to have this clearance recognised by the Australian Government and be eligible for this role.
