Priority Desk Advisor – Fresh Desk
The role
As a Priority Desk Advisor, you’ll help maintain and improve the service we provide to our key priority clients, including fresh food parcels where additional delivery requirements apply.
You’ll monitor the end-to-end journey of priority parcels, using daily data to identify anything at risk of missing SLA and working with teams across the business to resolve issues quickly.
You’ll also build strong relationships internally and externally, working closely with operational teams, Commercial Managers and clients to help improve delivery performance and customer satisfaction.
What you’ll be doing
- Using in-day data to identify priority parcels at risk of non-delivery and resolving issues wherever possible.
- Quickly escalating issues to the appropriate teams when additional support is needed.
- Proactively contacting couriers and contractors to resolve in-day operational issues.
- Working with Depot, Delivery Unit, Operations and contractor teams to recover volume and maintain Day 1 SLA performance.
- Providing regular MI and visibility of priority parcel performance.
- Supporting our priority clients and helping ensure fresh food parcels receive the additional focus they require.
- Building effective relationships with internal stakeholders, Commercial Managers and clients.
What you’ll need
- Excellent communication skills across different channels.
- The ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- A good working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office tools.
- Confidence using Excel for basic data manipulation.
- A proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational issues.
- Strong relationship-building skills and a customer-focused mindset.
What success looks like
You’ll help improve customer satisfaction and client performance by increasing the number of priority parcels successfully delivered on Day 1 and ensuring potential delivery issues are identified and acted on quickly.
