Are you passionate about building privacy into technology, data and AI solutions?
Would you like to use your technical expertise to help shape Privacy by Design at Aon?
Join our Global Privacy & Data Trust team and help us build privacy into technology from the start!
This is a hybrid role offering the flexibility to work virtually and from our office.
Aon is in the business of better decisions
At Aon, we shape decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world.
As an organization, we are united through trust as one inclusive team and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.
What the day will look like
As a Privacy Engineering Consultant, you will work with engineering, architecture, product, data, cybersecurity and privacy teams to embed Privacy by Design across technology solutions.
You will:
- Review products, architectures, data flows and AI solutions to identify privacy risks and recommend practical controls.
- Apply privacy threat modelling approaches such as LINDDUN and translate findings into technical requirements, testing and evidence.
- Advise on privacy controls including data minimisation, pseudonymisation, tokenisation, access, retention and deletion.
- Provide technical input into AI, machine learning, RAG, PIAs and DPIAs.
- Develop reusable privacy patterns, guidance and resources to strengthen Privacy by Design across Aon.
How this opportunity is different
You will work at the intersection of privacy, technology, data and AI, supporting solutions across Aon's global technology environment.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Technical experience in software, data, cybersecurity, cloud, architecture, privacy engineering or a related area.
- Programming experience in a language such as Python, Java, C#, Go, Scala or JavaScript.
- Understanding of applications, APIs, databases, cloud platforms, data pipelines, access controls and data lifecycle management.
- Experience with architecture reviews, threat modelling, data-flow analysis or technical risk assessments.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with a curiosity about Privacy by Design. Experience with LINDDUN, cloud data platforms, AI/ML, privacy-enhancing technologies, PIAs/DPIAs or certifications such as CIPT would be an advantage.
