Als Private Cloud Engineer werk je aan de bouw en doorontwikkeling van een grootschalig private cloudplatform. VMware vormt een belangrijk onderdeel, aangevuld met Red Hat Linux, Ansible, Terraform, Argo CD, Kubernetes en CI/CD-tooling. Je vertaalt technische ontwerpen naar werkende oplossingen en automatiseert provisioning en beheer, over compute, netwerk, storage en security heen.

Je komt in dienst bij Kyndryl en werkt voor een opdrachtgever in de defensie- en veiligheidssector die zijn IT-infrastructuur volledig vernieuwt. Later kun je ook voor andere klanten van Kyndryl aan de slag.

Dit is geen standaard beheer- of supportrol. Naast beheer en optimalisatie werk je aan nieuwe functionaliteit, migraties, integraties en automatisering. Security hoort bij het ontwerp: je past Secure by Design toe en houdt rekening met encryptie, segmentering, beschikbaarheid, performance en schaalbaarheid.

Succes in deze rol betekent dat cloudservices veilig en reproduceerbaar worden uitgerold, dat wijzigingen gecontroleerd verlopen en dat problemen structureel worden opgelost.

Wat ga je doen

Ontwerp en realiseer

• Ontwerp en realiseer private cloudoplossingen op basis van VMware
• Beheer, schaal en optimaliseer de VMware-gebaseerde cloudomgevingen

Automatiseer provisioning en deployments

• Automatiseer provisioning en beheer van IaaS- en PaaS-diensten met Ansible, Terraform, Argo CD en scripting
• Bouw en verbeter CI/CD-workflows voor infrastructuurconfiguraties en deployments

Borg betrouwbaarheid

• Voer upgrades, patches en releases gecontroleerd en reproduceerbaar door
• Bewaak beschikbaarheid, capaciteit en performance en verbeter structureel

Werk samen en deel kennis

• Ondersteun andere engineeringteams met automatisering, troubleshooting en kennisoverdracht
• Leg oplossingen helder vast en help collega's nieuwe werkwijzen toe te passen

Je werkt hybride: één dag per week op een locatie van de opdrachtgever in de regio Utrecht of Zuid-Holland, één dag op het Kyndryl-kantoor in Hoofddorp en de andere dagen thuis. Het salaris is € 78.000 tot € 98.000 bruto per jaar, inclusief vakantiegeld en dertiende maand, afhankelijk van je ervaring.

Daarnaast krijg je onder meer een telefoon en laptop van de zaak, een maandelijkse internetvergoeding en tot vijf weken extra partnerverlof met behoud van salaris. Met de Kyndryl Social Club zijn er regelmatig borrels, Lunch and Learns en sportactiviteiten.

Waar je ook naartoe wilt groeien, bij Kyndryl krijg je de ruimte. Je kunt je verder specialiseren in private cloud en automation, de breedte in gaan of doorgroeien naar architect of Distinguished Engineer. Je werkt daarbij samen met ervaren specialisten.

Who You Are

Je combineert diepgaande infrastructuurkennis met automatisering en denkt vanaf het ontwerp aan security. Bij complexe derdelijnsvragen zoek je de oorzaak en zorg je voor een structurele oplossing.

Vereiste vaardigheden en ervaring

• Minimaal 5 jaar ervaring met technisch beheer en engineering van private cloudomgevingen.
• Ervaring met VMware, virtualisatie en geautomatiseerde VM-deployments.
• Ervaring met Red Hat Ansible en geautomatiseerde provisioning van IaaS- en PaaS-diensten.
• Ervaring met Terraform, Argo CD, GitLab en CI/CD-principes, en met scripting in bijvoorbeeld PowerShell, Python, YAML of JavaScript.
• Red Hat Linux, met RHCSA- en RHCE-certificering.
• CKA-certificering (Certified Kubernetes Administrator) en kennis van Kubernetes, compute, networking, storage en platformmonitoring.
• Ervaring met Secure by Design, encryptie, segmentering en securityrichtlijnen.
• Vloeiend Nederlands, de Nederlandse nationaliteit en een Nederlands paspoort, en bereidheid tot een screening door de MIVD (VGB). Kyndryl begeleidt je daarbij.

Gewenste vaardigheden en ervaring

• Ervaring met Nutanix.
• Hoogbeschikbare en hoogpresterende enterprise-infrastructuur.
• Logging, monitoring en dashboarding in cloudomgevingen.
• Configuration management en Infrastructure as Code.
