Private Equity Accountant – Co. Limerick | 12-Month Contract | Hybrid

Matrix Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Private Equity Accountant to join a well-established financial services organisation with a collaborative team environment.

This is a 12-month contract position, with some possibility of extension or other opportunities arising. The role is based in Limerick and offers a hybrid working model.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver a high standard of service to assigned clients, ensuring client deadlines are met.
• Liaise with clients and external auditors, handling audit queries and providing clear communication.
• Prepare and submit regulatory and compliance returns, and issue NAVs accurately within set timeframes.
• Manage the accurate and timely payment of operating expenses.
• Support new client onboarding and fund setup, prepare reports for board packs and internal stakeholders, and assist with daily team operations.

Requirements:

• 4+ years’ experience in a similar role.
• Private equity or funds experience.
• Accountancy qualification desirable.
• Knowledge of Irish/UK GAAP, US GAAP or IFRS desirable, with an understanding of fund accounting and financial reporting standards.
• Experience producing management accounts, including debits and credits, strong MS Excel and Word skills, analytical and problem-solving ability, and high attention to detail and accuracy.
