Private Learning Coach (English Speaker)

We are a French family based in Spain, homeschooling our two sons (10 and 7) through Wolsey Hall Oxford, one of the world’s leading British homeschooling programmes.

We are looking for educators who completed their primary and secondary education in an English-speaking country (UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, Australia or New Zealand).

This is a long-term role for someone who believes that every child learns differently and enjoys adapting their teaching accordingly.

The Role

* Remote position

* Based in Spain (preferred)

* Start: Mid-September 2026

* Freelance contract

* Initial 8-month contract, renewable

* Approximately 3–4 hours per day, Monday to Friday

Lessons are usually scheduled between 9:00 am and 1:00/2:00 pm (Spain time).

As we occasionally travel, some flexibility is required and lessons may occasionally start earlier depending on the time zone we’re in.

School holidays follow our children’s calendar (October, Christmas, February and Easter).

Your Mission.

You’ll work individually with both children (roughly half your time with each).

Your role is to:

* Guide them through their Wolsey Hall Oxford curriculum.

* Adapt your teaching to each child’s learning style.

* Encourage curiosity, independence and critical thinking.

* Create engaging, enjoyable lessons.

* Keep them focused while maintaining clear, kind and consistent boundaries.

* Communicate regularly with us to monitor progress and adjust objectives when needed.

About Our Children

Our eldest son is intellectually gifted and a very non-linear learner. He is naturally curious, asks lots of questions and thrives with educators who are flexible, creative and capable of adapting their teaching rather than rigidly following a lesson plan.

Our youngest son is energetic, imaginative and loves aviation, engineering, mechanics and building things. He learns best through enthusiasm, interaction and encouragement. He is very focused.

* Fluent in English

* Proven experience teaching or tutoring primary student

* Experience delivering lessons remotely

* Professional, reliable and highly organised

* Patient and calm

* Able to combine warmth with clear expectations and boundaries

* Flexible and adaptable

* Excellent communicator

* Comfortable using modern educational technology

Highly Valued

* Experience with homeschooling

* Experience with gifted learners

* Experience personalising learning rather than simply delivering a curriculum
