The Role
We are seeking an experienced Process Improvement Manager to lead end-to-end process optimization initiatives across the organization.
The successful candidate will identify process inefficiencies, analyze current-state workflows, redesign future-state processes, establish performance measures, lead cross-functional improvement projects, support automation initiatives, and ensure improvements are embedded into daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the organization's process-improvement function.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive process-improvement strategy.
- Establish annual process-improvement priorities aligned with business objectives.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, customer experience, cost, risk, and scalability.
- Partner with senior management to identify high-impact process challenges.
- Develop process-improvement roadmaps for business functions.
- Establish standardized methodologies, tools, templates, and governance for process improvement.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making.
- Conduct end-to-end reviews of business and operational processes.
- Map current-state processes and identify inefficiencies.
- Document process steps, inputs, outputs, systems, controls, responsibilities, and handoffs.
- Conduct interviews and workshops with process owners and frontline employees.
- Observe actual workflows and identify gaps between documented and actual processes.
- Develop future-state process designs.
- Simplify workflows and eliminate unnecessary steps.
- Reduce duplication, manual work, excessive approvals, unnecessary handoffs, and process delays.
- Standardize processes across departments and locations where appropriate.
- Define clear process ownership and accountability.
- Establish RACI matrices for critical processes.
- Improve cross-functional handoffs and information flow.
- Identify process bottlenecks and root causes.
- Analyze process cycle times, transaction volumes, error rates, workloads, queues, and capacity.
- Develop quantitative baselines for process performance.
- Establish appropriate process KPIs and performance targets.
- Analyze process data to identify trends, variation, bottlenecks, and recurring issues.
- Apply structured problem-solving techniques to complex process problems.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis using appropriate methodologies.
- Use tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone Analysis, Pareto Analysis, SIPOC, FMEA, process mapping, and value-stream mapping.
- Develop corrective and preventive actions.
- Validate proposed solutions through data and stakeholder feedback.
- Conduct process simulations or pilots where appropriate.
- Measure results before and after process changes.
- Ensure improvement initiatives deliver measurable business benefits.
- Develop business cases for major process-improvement initiatives.
- Quantify expected cost savings, productivity gains, capacity improvements, cycle-time reductions, quality improvements, and customer benefits.
- Partner with Finance to validate financial benefits.
- Establish benefits-realization processes.
- Track improvement benefits after implementation.
- Identify projects that fail to deliver expected benefits and develop corrective actions.
- Lead cross-functional process-improvement projects.
- Develop project charters, scopes, objectives, milestones, timelines, resources, risks, and success criteria.
- Establish project governance and reporting structures.
- Manage project dependencies and stakeholder expectations.
- Track project progress and resolve implementation barriers.
- Escalate significant risks and delays to senior management.
- Conduct process-improvement workshops.
- Facilitate cross-functional working sessions to identify problems and develop solutions.

- Identify opportunities for business-process automation.
- Assess processes for suitability for workflow automation, self-service, digitization, system integration, or robotic process automation.
- Develop automation business cases.

Candidate Profile
