Process Owner

What You'll Do

We’re looking for a Process Owner to join our Process Center of Excellence team. In this role, you’ll be accountable for the ongoing performance and strategic design of end-to-end business processes across the operating environment!

• Own end-to-end business processes, understanding objectives, inputs, outputs, dependencies, and customer impacts; perform impact analyses and cost-benefit analyses (CBA) to support prioritization and process improvement decisions.
• Drive continuous improvement through process analysis, root cause identification, innovation, and implementation of best practices to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and quality.
• Develop and maintain multi-year roadmaps for process design, improvement initiatives, and capital spend.
• Create and maintain process maps, SOPs, and related documentation to ensure consistent process execution.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements, solicit feedback, and align process initiatives with business objectives.
• Establish and monitor KPIs and performance metrics to measure outcomes, track progress, and identify improvement opportunities.
• Identify process risks, bottlenecks, and compliance concerns; implement controls and mitigation strategies to minimize operational impact.
• Support change management activities, including communication, training, and adoption of process improvements.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Who You Are

• 6+ years of related work experience in process management, business process reengineering, or similar roles, preferably within a relevant industry or sector or equivalent demonstrated through one or combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience or education.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex processes, identify inefficiencies, and develop data-driven solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
• Project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and deliverables.
• Proficiency in process modeling tools, workflow automation software, and other relevant technologies to support process design and optimization efforts.

Skills That Will Help You Stand Out

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Experience in the retirement or financial services industry, with knowledge of distributions, withdrawals, loans, and other money-out processes is highly preferred.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, BPM) preferred.

Salary Range Information

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

$84600 - $187200 / year

  • Process Owner: $84,600 - $114,300 / year
  • Senior Process Owner: $104,400 - $140,400 / year
• Des Moines, IA:
  • Process Owner: $89,300 - $120,650 / year
  • Senior Process Owner: $110,200 - $148,200 / year
• Charlotte, NC:
  • Process Owner: $94,000 - $127,000 / year
  • Senior Process Owner: $116,000 - $156,000 / year
• Chicago/Minneapolis:
  • Process Owner: $103,400- $139,700 / year
  • Senior Process Owner: $127,600 - $171,600 / year
• Los Angeles/New York City:
  • Process Owner: $112,800 - $152,400 / year
  • Senior Process Owner: $139,200 - $187,200 / year

Time Off Program

Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

Location

This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements (only if residing more than 30 miles from Des Moines, IA, Charlotte, NC, and Raleigh, NC). You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
