About Sharon AI

Sharon AI is an Australian neocloud, delivering trusted AI infrastructure organisations need to build, train and run AI at scale. We support customers across the full AI lifecycle, from training through to inference and agentic AI, drawing on a strong ecosystem of technology and co-location partners to deliver capability where it's needed. As the first neocloud to join NVIDIA's AI Compute Program, we're growing quickly, scaling our AI Factory platform to meet rising demand for advanced compute.

The Role

As Sharon AI continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Procurement Business Partner to join our Procurement team and play an important role in developing and managing our data centre and infrastructure procurement categories.

You'll own category strategies, strategic sourcing, supplier relationships and commercial negotiations, using procurement data and insights to drive smarter business decisions. You'll partner with Customer-Facing Delivery (PMO), Technology, Operations, Finance and other teams to support the delivery and operation of our AI infrastructure.

What Youโ€™ll Be Doing

โ€ข Develop and manage category strategies across GPU compute, networking, storage, data centre infrastructure, power, cooling, connectivity and related services.

โ€ข Analyse spend, supplier markets and demand forecasts to identify sourcing opportunities, cost efficiencies and supply risks.

โ€ข Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, including RFQs, supplier evaluations, negotiations and contract awards.

โ€ข Build procurement dashboards and reports to turn spend, supplier performance and supply chain data into actionable insights.

โ€ข Partner with internal stakeholders to forecast demand and secure timely supply of critical infrastructure and long-lead components.

โ€ข Manage supplier relationships, performance reviews, commercial terms and improvement initiatives.

โ€ข Develop total cost of ownership models and business cases to support commercial decisions.

โ€ข Support procurement governance, supplier onboarding, contract management and continuous process improvement.

โ€ข Manage procurement activity across your portfolio alongside the Procurement Specialist, from purchase orders through to delivery.

What Weโ€™re Looking For

โ€ข 5โ€“8 yearsโ€™ procurement experience, including at least 3 years in category management or strategic sourcing.

โ€ข Experience in data centre, IT infrastructure or construction procurement, or deep category management experience in complex capital expenditure or technology categories.

โ€ข Proven ability to run sourcing events, negotiate high-value contracts and develop category strategies.

โ€ข Strong commercial acumen, stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including presenting insights to senior leaders.

โ€ข Advanced Excel skills and experience developing reports or dashboards using Power BI, Tableau or similar tools.

โ€ข Experience partnering with operational and technical teams in a fast-moving environment.

โ€ข Analytical thinking, strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

โ€ข A genuine interest in AI, technology and what Sharon AI is building.

Nice to have:

โ€ข CIPS, MCIPS, CPSM or equivalent procurement qualification.

โ€ข Experience with GPUs, servers, networking, storage, power, cooling or data centre build and fit-out.

โ€ข Experience with SQL, NetSuite or similar ERP systems, supplier performance frameworks or high-growth technology businesses.
