Vinova are partnering with an established Australian renewable energy business that is continuing to expand its project portfolio.
As a Contracts & Procurement Manager, you will support the commercial delivery of major renewable energy projects, taking responsibility for procurement activities and contract negotiations through to execution and close-out.
The preference is for someone with strong procurement capability who is equally comfortable negotiating complex contracts. However, candidates with a strong contracts background and relevant renewable energy project experience will also be considered.
You'll work closely with EPC, engineering and project stakeholders, with external legal support available for complex contractual matters.
Duties
• Lead procurement activities across major renewable energy projects
• Manage tender processes, commercial evaluations and supplier negotiations
• Negotiate and close out BESS, BoP, EPC and major supply/service contracts
• Review contractual departures and negotiate commercial terms
• Support the development of contracting and procurement strategies for upcoming projects
• Manage contracts through negotiation, execution and commercial close-out
• Work closely with EPC, engineering, project and external legal teams
• Identify contractual and commercial risks throughout the procurement process
• Build strong relationships with major contractors, OEMs and project suppliers
Skills & Experience
• Strong experience across procurement, contracts or commercial management within renewable energy, power or major infrastructure
• Experience negotiating and executing complex, high-value project contracts
• Ideally previous exposure to BESS, utility-scale solar, substations or electrical infrastructure
• Strong commercial negotiation and contract management capability
• Comfortable operating independently and taking ownership of negotiations
• Experience within an EPC, developer, contractor or major energy environment will be highly regarded
Benefits
• Work across a significant pipeline of Australian renewable energy projects
• Exposure to large-scale BESS, solar and electrical infrastructure contracts
• Genuine ownership across procurement and contract negotiations
• Hybrid working with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office
Company & Culture
This would suit someone who enjoys working across the intersection of procurement, contracts and project delivery and wants genuine involvement in bringing major renewable energy projects through contracting and into construction.
