  The Project Procurement Manager leads project procurement activities across Iberia, supporting business growth, margin improvement, cash generation, and successful project execution.

  Working closely with Sales, Tendering, Project Management, Engineering, Finance, and Supply Chain teams, the role develops sourcing strategies, manages supplier relationships, mitigates risks, and delivers competitive compliant procurement solutions. Early engagement throughout the project lifecycle is essential to improve competitiveness, protect margins, and support both Greenfield, Competitive Migration and Installed Base opportunities.

  Key Responsibilities

  Strategic Procurement• Develop and implement project procurement strategies aligned with growth, profitability, cash generation, and project objectives.• Support tenders and projects through early supplier integration, sourcing strategy development, and risk mitigation.• Drive cost optimisation, value engineering, supplier innovation, and competitiveness initiatives through the effective use of digital procurement tools, including e-Sourcing and e-Reverse Auctions (e-RA).• Identify, qualify, develop, and manage strategic suppliers, subcontractors, Cabinet Integrators, and logistics partners across Iberia.• Support supplier localisation, capacity planning, supplier resilience, and long-term supplier development initiatives.• Contribute to Solution Business Excellence through effective procurement and supply chain practices.

  Project Execution• Lead supplier selection, qualification, commercial negotiations, contract placement, and purchase commitments.• Ensure customer requirements are effectively transferred into supplier agreements, including appropriate back-to-back commercial protections.• Monitor and improve supplier performance across cost, quality, delivery, safety, sustainability, capacity, and margin objectives.• Drive supplier development and performance improvement plans to enhance competitiveness, innovation, execution performance, and long-term value creation.• Manage procurement risks, claims, escalations, and supplier performance issues to support successful project execution.• Ensure compliance with Schneider Electric policies, trade regulations, customs requirements, and ethical standards.

  Business Partnership• Partner with Sales, Tendering, Project Management, Engineering, and Delivery teams to support competitive solutions, effective sourcing strategies, and successful project execution. • Collaborate with Finance and business stakeholders to deliver savings, margin protection, working capital improvements, and cash-flow objectives. • Support regional and global procurement initiatives, category management strategies, supplier development programs, and best-practice sharing. • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, category teams, and strategic suppliers to support long-term business objectives, market intelligence, and supplier performance.

  Team Leadership• Lead and develop team members through coaching, objective setting, and performance management.• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, customer focus, and continuous improvement.• Ensure adherence to Schneider Electric governance, compliance requirements, and ethical standards.

  Qualifications & Experience• Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.• 7+ years of experience in Project Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain Management, or Category Management within industrial, automation, EPC, telecom, energy, infrastructure, marine, or related sectors.• Proven experience managing complex project supply chains, supplier networks, subcontractors, and logistics activities.• Experience supporting large and complex projects, including EPC, automation, telecom, major automation contracts (MAC), or capital project environments.• Demonstrated success in commercial negotiations, contract management, supplier development, and supply chain risk mitigation.• Experience operating effectively within cross-functional and matrix organisations.

  Competencies• Strong supplier relationship management, supplier development, supplier performance management, strategic sourcing, and commercial negotiation capabilities.• Understanding of project procurement, category management, contract management, governance, and risk management principles.• Commercial and analytical mindset with a focus on value creation, cost optimization, competitiveness, and margin protection.• Influential leadership skills, with the ability to drive alignment and strategic outcomes across suppliers, category teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.• Proficiency in SAP, e-Sourcing, e-Reverse Auctions (e-RA), and other digital procurement tools.• Knowledge of logistics, international supply chains, trade compliance, sustainable procurement practices, and ESG principles.• Awareness of industrial cybersecurity requirements and their implications for automation and digital solutions.• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills.• Strategic, proactive, customer-focused, and results-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic project environment.

  Language Skills• Fluent Spanish and English.• Portuguese would be advantageous.
