PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Procurement Product & Operations Specialist plays a key role in driving the successful development and delivery of innovative products that meet the needs of the department and align with the company’s strategic goals. This role acts as the bridge between business stakeholders, development teams and end-users, ensuring clear communication and effective prioritization of features and enhancements throughout the product lifecycle.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Drives organizational goals and maximizes the value of the PVMS Technology.
- Defines and communicates the continuous refinement of the PVMS technology vision and growth opportunities so that the highest possible value is leveraged; ensures users have effective and efficient access to relevant information.
- Reviews current manual processes within PVMS and identifies ways to transition these processes to the PVMS technology platforms.
- Participates in the review of all PVMS project, process and technology support requests and/or improvements to systems, ensuring both process and system requirements are fully identified, evaluated, tested, implemented and aligned with PVMS strategic priorities.
- Works closely with leaders and IT to ensure the successful execution of the product roadmap.
- Leads orchestration of key sourcing and third-party risk processes to ensure consistency in identification, prioritization and execution of delivery.
- Oversees technical requirements specific to application configuration.
- Recognizes the opportunities current technology provides and assesses its impact on business practices. This includes leading the understanding of processes, documenting gaps and recommending ways to use the current technology while providing suggestions of new technology and workflows.
- Accountable for each stage of the development process and the final product, evaluating progress and performance at each iteration and collaborates on the decision to move on to the next steps.
- Oversees the data analytics and reporting functionalities and capabilities, ensuring information required to make decisions is available and easily accessible.
- Anticipates product’s future needs by maintaining user personas and journey maps.
- Owns and drives user-centric product outcomes collaboratively with business and IT leadership.
Fosters effective procurement operations, infrastructure and leads continuous improvement to ensure alignment with company initiatives.
- Achieves baseline cycle times and performs retrospectives to ensure continuous improvement and iterative improvement of process and/or technology.
- Assesses current practices and recommends continuous improvement processes/products based on data analysis and best practices to achieve targeted metrics for strategic sourcing and third-party risk success.
- Supports the department in identifying and resolving operational challenges.
- Drives business process design and improvement projects.
- Introduces industry best practices through the development of center of excellence capabilities, including training and knowledge sharing.
- Builds process excellence awareness across the department and with team members and leaders.
- Supports and guides the organization through transformation, standardization and faster execution.
- Assists in the development and maintenance of procurement policies, procedures, and guidelines for the company’s strategic goals.
- Handles PVMS technology support & administration, including day to day issue resolution; ensures delivery of high-quality customer service to end users.
- Drives data integrity within the PVMS Technology systems; oversees and maintains user security, and implements audit, research, and resolution processes.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This role does not have supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree required in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of related experience inclusive of leading product implementations, collecting business needs, and translating requirements to a technical audience.
- Extensive experience implementing, maintaining and administering Source to Pay platforms such as Coupa, Ariba, Zycus, etc.
- Experience with procurement, contracts and third party risk in the financial services or insurance industry highly desired.
- Experience as a Product Owner or similar role with the ability to successfully launch and manage products or platforms.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Six Sigma certification or training preferred.
- Certifications in procurement and supply management preferred, i.e. Senior Professional in Supply Management (SPSM), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Procurement Professional (CPP), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified Professional Purchasing Manager (CPPM). Experience in SaaS technology or cloud preferred.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Demonstrated advanced skills in implementing and managing source to pay and third-party risk applications.
- Knowledge of Agile processes and principles.
- Understanding of the Insurance industry.
- Ability to map value stream across business lines.
- Possess technical expertise and understanding of product development practices.
- Ability to balance technical constraints and a differentiated product that meets the needs of the marketplace.
- Knowledge of mobile and web platform design conventions and technology limitations and opportunities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience working with cross-functional teams, and presenting to leadership.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Visio, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Advanced analytical, qualitative, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to apply critical thinking and analytical skills to recommend creative solutions to business and technical challenges.
- Strong attention to detail. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Office environment – no specific or unusual physical or environmental demands and employees are regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, and hear.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position operates in an office environment and requires the frequent use of a computer, telephone, copier, and other standard office equipment.

The current range for this position is
$90,559.93 - $152,723.07This range is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. If hired at ICW Group, your final base salary compensation will be determined by factors unique to each candidate, including experience, education and the location of the role and considers employees performing substantially similar work.
