- Join a major €30M infrastructure project with a national footprint
- Build the supplier network behind a major national project
A major infrastructure project is moving from planning into delivery.
A new national fibre network is being developed to connect some of Ireland’s biggest cities and regions, creating the infrastructure needed to support the country’s growing demand for connectivity.
And procurement will play a key role in making it happen.
The next stage is about sourcing the suppliers, services and expertise the project needs, agreeing the right commercial terms and making sure everything is ready when delivery begins.
That’s where you come in.
As Procurement Project Specialist, you’ll take project requirements and turn them into sourcing activity — finding suppliers, running tenders, evaluating proposals and negotiating the agreements that will support delivery.
You’ll see your work move from a requirement, to a supplier, to a contract — and ultimately into a major piece of infrastructure being delivered across Ireland. Joining at this early stage also means you’ll help establish the procurement approach rather than stepping into a process that is already in place.
Why You’ll Love
- Build National Infrastructure: Your supplier and commercial decisions will contribute directly to a new fibre network connecting major cities and regions across Ireland.
- Build the Supplier Network: Identify potential suppliers, assess the market and help decide which companies the project will work with.
- Lead Sourcing from Start to Finish: Take requirements through tender, negotiation and contract award.
- Work Across the Build: Source for infrastructure, civils, fibre deployment and specialist services as the project develops.
- Work Directly with Delivery Teams: Partner with Project Managers, Engineering and Commercial teams to understand requirements and prepare procurement for what comes next.
What You’ll Do
- Turn Requirements into Sourcing: Work with project teams to understand what needs to be bought and when.
- Find the Right Suppliers: Research the market, identify potential suppliers and manage RFQs and RFPs.
- Evaluate and Negotiate: Assess proposals, benchmark pricing and negotiate commercial terms.
- Put Contracts in Place: Support supplier selection and make sure agreements are ready for delivery.
- Stay Ahead of Demand: Work with project teams to anticipate upcoming requirements and address sourcing issues early.
- Manage Supplier Relationships: Build strong working relationships with suppliers and subcontractors throughout the project.
What You’ll Have
- Procurement Experience: Strong experience at Procurement Specialist, Senior Procurement Specialist, Procurement Manager or similar level. Your current or most recent role should be procurement-focused.
- Tendering & Negotiation: Experience managing sourcing exercises from initial requirement through tender, evaluation, negotiation and award.
- Project & Stakeholder Experience: Comfortable working with suppliers, project teams and senior stakeholders in a delivery-focused environment.
- Relevant Sector Experience: Infrastructure, utilities, construction, engineering or telecommunications would be beneficial. CIPS would be an advantage, but strong procurement experience is the priority.
