Procurement Project Specialist – (€280/Daily)
- Long Term Day Rate Contract with high likelihood of extension
- Hybrid working – 2-days on-site
- Join a major €30M national fibre infrastructure project
- Work across a procurement portfolio that changes as the network takes shape
Third-party duct access. Civils. Fibre deployment. Specialist services. This role spans a procurement portfolio as varied as the network itself.
That means different requirements, different supplier markets and different commercial challenges throughout the €30M programme.
As Procurement Project Specialist, you’ll work with Project, Engineering and Commercial teams to determine the right route to market, engage suppliers and secure the right commercial outcome for each requirement.
Rather than being tied to one category, you’ll build breadth across a major infrastructure programme while seeing how different procurement decisions come together to deliver the wider network.
Why You’ll Love This Role
- Broaden Your Procurement Scope: Gain exposure across infrastructure, civils, fibre and specialist services.
- Own Your Commercial Decisions: Use your judgement to determine sourcing approaches and supplier solutions.
- Work With Senior Stakeholders: Partner directly with Project, Engineering and Commercial teams.
- Tackle Varied Challenges: Move between different requirements, markets and commercial considerations.
- Strengthen Your Project Experience: Add major national infrastructure delivery to your procurement background.
What You’ll Do
- Define Sourcing Requirements: Work with Project, Engineering and Commercial teams to establish what needs to be sourced.
- Test the Supplier Market: Identify capable suppliers and develop competitive options.
- Run Competitive Tenders: Manage RFQs and RFPs through evaluation.
- Evaluate Commercial Proposals: Compare capability, pricing and commercial terms.
- Negotiate Supplier Terms: Lead negotiations and support final supplier appointments.
- Align Procurement with Delivery: Keep sourcing activity connected to project requirements and timelines.
What You’ll Have
- Procurement Experience: Strong experience in procurement, with your current or most recent role being procurement-focused.
- Tendering & Negotiation: Experience managing sourcing through tender, evaluation, negotiation and award.
- Commercial Judgement: Confident assessing supplier capability, pricing and commercial terms.
- Project Experience: Comfortable working with project teams and senior stakeholders; infrastructure, utilities, construction, engineering or telecommunications experience is beneficial.
