Procurement Specialist / Purchasing Manager Location: Egypt (nationwide) Work Model: Full-time, field-based role with frequent travel across Egypt About the Opportunity Our client, a well-established international company operating within the fresh produce and food industry, is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager / Procurement Specialist to join its team in Egypt. This role will be responsible for developing and managing supplier relationships, securing high-quality fruit and vegetable sourcing, and optimizing procurement activities across the country. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring a reliable supply chain while maintaining competitive pricing, quality standards, and operational efficiency. Due to the nature of the role, frequent travel to sourcing regions, farms, packing facilities, and supplier locations throughout Egypt is required. Key Responsibilities Identify, evaluate, and develop relationships with fruit and vegetable suppliers across Egypt Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, contracts, and supply agreements Manage procurement processes to ensure continuity of supply and product quality Monitor market trends, pricing dynamics, crop availability, and seasonal fluctuations Conduct regular visits to suppliers, farms, and sourcing regions to assess production capabilities and quality standards Collaborate closely with internal teams to align procurement activities with business requirements Develop and implement procurement optimization initiatives to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness Ensure compliance with company policies, quality requirements, and industry standards Requirements Must Have Minimum 5–8 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or sourcing within the food, agri-food, fresh produce, or import/export industry Strong knowledge of the Egyptian fruit and vegetable market Proven track record in supplier management, negotiations, and procurement optimization Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills Fluency in English Willingness and ability to travel extensively across Egypt Nice to Have Experience working with international customers or export-oriented organizations Existing network of suppliers within the fresh produce sector What We Are Looking For We are seeking a commercially minded procurement professional with strong market knowledge, excellent supplier management capabilities, and a hands-on approach to sourcing.
