Procurement Specialist

We are currently searching for a Procurement / Purchasing Functional Consultant to join a freelance project with a global client of ours.

Start: October 2026

Duration: 6-month initial contract with possible extensions

Location: Hybrid – remote with approximately 2 days per week on-site in the Central Netherlands, near Eindhoven

Languages: English speaking

Role/Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on functional support across Procurement and Purchasing
• Support day-to-day procurement activities, including purchase orders, approval processes and vendor management
• Troubleshoot system-related procurement issues and provide practical support to end users
• Ensure procurement processes and systems are operating effectively
• Support vendor contracting, supplier selection and related procurement processes
• Work closely with business users, stakeholders and IT teams to resolve issues and identify process improvements
• Support the business through go-live and post-go-live stabilisation
• Provide guidance and support to end users, helping bridge the gap between the delivered solution and business requirements
• Previous experience working with SAP Cloud / S/4HANA Cloud would be beneficial
• Experience supporting implementations, go-lives or post-go-live environments would be advantageous
• Experience working across international teams or multiple European locations would be beneficial
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and take ownership of functional issues
