WestPoint Search is supporting an international organisation as it appoints a Procurement Transformation Manager during a period of significant business and procurement transformation.

The organisation has a clear ambition to strengthen procurement’s contribution to the business. With the mandate to improve processes, governance, technology and data, this role offers considerable scope to shape the function and turn that ambition into measurable results.

This opportunity will suit someone who enjoys building in an evolving environment, bringing structure to complexity and taking improvements from initial idea through to everyday adoption. This is a blank canvas. Procurement in this business needs to evolve, but how that happens is down to you.

The role

You will lead the development of more effective, consistent procurement practices across the organisation. Working closely with procurement colleagues and stakeholders across Finance, Legal, IT and the wider business, you will identify what needs to change, establish priorities and deliver improvements.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Processes and governance: Develop procurement policies, improve sourcing and buying processes, and establish clear responsibilities across procurement, category teams and contract management.
• Technology and adoption: Improve the use of procurement platforms, including Coupa, e-sourcing tools and the contract repository, helping teams realise greater value from existing technology.
• Data and performance: Strengthen procurement analytics and reporting, improving visibility and establishing measures that demonstrate progress and business impact.
• Stakeholder engagement: Help the business understand how and when to engage procurement, building support for new processes and embedding them through communication and education.
• Team development: Lead a small team and build the capabilities needed to support the function’s continued development.

What you’ll bring

You will have experience in procurement transformation, procurement excellence or procurement operations, with clear examples of improvements you have personally delivered and embedded.

We are particularly interested in professionals who bring:

• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, governance and operating models.
• Over 10 years in transformational procurement functions.
• Experience delivering change within a complex organisation.
• Confidence working with procurement technology, data and reporting.
• The ability to influence stakeholders and translate their needs into practical solutions.
• A proactive approach, sound judgement and the confidence to move work forward where structures are still developing.

You should enjoy both shaping the approach and getting involved in delivery. Your success will come from building credibility, creating clarity and bringing people with you.
