About Us
DealRoom is the M&A platform corporate development teams run their deals on. We built it bootstrapped, with no outside investors. Today 280+ companies use it.
M&A Science is our media and education arm. It runs the M&A Science podcast, live events and the Buyer-Led M&A methodology.
We move fast. Our values are simple: Own It. Deliver the Wow. Be Kind and Direct.
The Role
You get our founder and CEO in front of the right rooms and keep his world running so he can focus on the company.
Most of this job is producing. You pitch the founder onto conference stages and other people's podcasts. You land the hard-to-get guests for the M&A Science podcast. You run live podcast recordings and events in our Boston office.
The rest is keeping the trains on time. You own his calendar, travel and personal appointments. You also handle daily support for the Boston office: the espresso machine, packages and supplies.
You'll work alongside the AI tools we're building. They handle the routine. You handle the phone calls, the relationships and the room.
What You'll Own
Media and stages 35%
Pitch Kison to conferences, podcasts and media. Pitch live M&A Science podcast segments to event organizers. Build his speaking calendar 6-9 months out. Land the hardest-to-get podcast guests: research them, shape the pitch with Kison, follow up until you get a yes or a clear no.
Events 25%
Run live podcast recordings, events in our Boston office and customer visit days end to end: invites, venue, catering, run of show, follow-up.
Kison's calendar and life admin 25%
Own his calendar across Chicago and Boston. Book travel. Schedule personal appointments. Protect his time for deep work.
Boston office 15%
Daily office support: keep the espresso machine running, handle packages, maintain supply inventory.
When priorities collide, Kison's media and events work wins. Our podcast producer keeps running the regular guest pipeline. You take the guests that need extra muscle.
Your First 90 Days
By day 90, these are done:
Kison's calendar, travel and appointments run without him touching them
A target list of 30+ conferences, podcasts and media outlets, with 10+ pitches out
3 confirmed speaking or guest slots for the first half of 2027
1 live podcast event pitched to an outside organizer
1 Boston office event or customer visit day run end to end
2 hard-to-get podcast guests booked
A daily office routine running smoothly: espresso machine, packages, supply inventory
Who You Are
You have 2-4 years in booking, PR, event production, talent relations or executive support. You've gotten a busy person to say yes when they didn't have to.
Must-haves:
You follow up five times without getting annoying, and you track every thread
You write short, clear pitches that get replies
You've run events or shoots with real stakes: guests, vendors, run of show
You're comfortable handling private details with discretion
You use AI tools daily and want to get better at them
Nice-to-haves:
Experience booking podcast guests or speakers
Contacts in conferences, business media or the M&A world
Experience at a startup or small team where you did a bit of everything
