Alera Group is seeking an experienced Producer/Sales Executive. We’re looking for a driven, relationship-focused Producer who thrives on building new business and serving as a trusted advisor to clients. Whether your expertise is in Employee Benefits or Property & Casualty, you bring a consultative sales approach, strong business development skills, and a passion for helping organizations navigate risk, protect their people, and achieve their goals. Responsibilities

What You'll Do

Business Development

  • Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and community engagement.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve established revenue and growth objectives.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified prospects.
  • Conduct client discovery meetings to understand organizational goals, risk exposures, workforce challenges, and insurance needs.
  • Deliver compelling presentations and recommendations to prospective clients.

Client Advisory

  • Serve as a trusted consultant, helping clients evaluate and implement insurance and risk management strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to design and present customized solutions.
  • Stay informed on market trends, regulatory developments, carrier offerings, and industry best practices.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients to support retention and identify opportunities for growth.

Collaboration & Partnership

  • Partner closely with Account Managers, Client Service teams, Carrier Partners, and Practice Leaders to deliver exceptional client experiences.
  • Participate in regional and national sales initiatives.
  • Leverage cross-selling opportunities across Employee Benefits, Property & Casualty, Wealth, Retirement Plan Services, and other Alera Group solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Active insurance producer license or ability to obtain required licensure.
  • Proven success in business development, sales, consultative selling, or relationship management.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build credibility and trusted relationships with business leaders.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.

Additional Preferred Experience

  • Existing network of business relationships within the local market.
  • Demonstrated history of achieving or exceeding sales goals.
  • Experience selling into middle-market and large employer organizations.
  • CRM proficiency and pipeline management experience.

This job requires a hybrid schedule.

Salary range is $50K to $200K per year.
