About the role

As a Product Analytics Analyst Sr at COUNTRY Financial, you will be a critical member of our Market Management team (formerly State Product Management), reporting to the Market Analytics Manager. You will be responsible for deepening product insights by advancing our analytical capabilities, leveraging tools such as SQL and Python to enhance data exploration, generating actionable insights, and localized competitive intelligence. Your efforts will drive decision making and state strategies with tight partnership with Market Managers.

How does this role make an impact?

- Drive the successful development of new products and the effective management and enhancement of existing products by making recommendations regarding product design, pricing, underwriting, agency management, distribution, claims and other processes.
- Ensures overall goals for production and underwriting profitability are met by analyzing premium rates, loss experience, and retention. Monitors the mix of business in assigned state(s), identifying changes in the mix and reasons for those changes.
- In conjunction with marketing, develops assigned state(s) business profit and growth strategies and translates business ideas and market opportunities into new product ideas by researching and maintaining awareness of all major competitors' current market positions (i.e., rates, service levels, financial positions and operating strategies), business directions, financial dynamics, and new technologies.
- Communicates and coordinates key profit metrics by coordinating with the Information Technology (IT) department to ensure proper implementation of rate revisions, new products, new product features, and other initiatives; develops working relationships with Accounting, Actuarial, Claims, Customer Service and IT.

Do you have what we're looking for?

• 7+ years of analytical work experience or a combination of related experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or similar role
• Experience in personal/commercial lines pricing/product, or related analytical field.
• Strong ability to develop insights and apply advanced analytics to drive business outcomes.
• High technical proficiency with analytical tools such as SQL, SAS, Python, R, Tableau, advanced Excel, and Cloud-Based Platforms (AWS, Azure, Cloudera)
• Exceptional research, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communicator and relationship builder across functional areas and translating complex data into action and decisions.

Base Pay Range:

$94,400-$129,800

The base pay range represents the typical range of potential salary offers for candidates hired. Factors used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, qualifications and experience.

Incentive Pay:

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a Short-Term Incentive plan.
