Job Description

Are you our next Product Application Engineer – Emergency Lighting?

Are you passionate about emergency lighting, technology, and turning technical expertise into real customer value? We’re looking for a Product Application Engineer to help drive the adoption and growth of our Emergency Lighting portfolio across Sweden and Norway.

In this role, you’ll combine technical expertise with a strong commercial mindset. You’ll work closely with our sales teams, consultants, customers, partners, and offer management to shape solutions, influence specifications, develop opportunities, and build a strong pipeline for Emergency Lighting.

What drives us at Schneider Electric?

For us, impact isn’t just a term paraded across posters or social media; it’s encoded into our culture. After all, Schneider makes companies, infrastructure, buildings, homes, data centers, and entire industries more efficient and sustainable. There’s a reason why we’re consistently ranked among the most sustainable companies in the world. Here, you can pursue your dream career while actively making a long-term, positive impact on the planet.

With us, you’ll contribute to tackling the climate crisis head-on, and accelerating the energy transition the planet urgently needs. What’s more, we help tens of millions of people in underserved communities gain access to energy and education so you’re making the world a fairer place, too. You’ll sit among colleagues with vastly different personal and professional backgrounds, all united by a vision of a better world.

What you’ll do

  • Design and quote Emergency Lighting solutions, identifying key strengths, points of attention for sales activities, and supporting the definition of appropriate selling prices.
  • Support effective specification and prescription activities with consultants and end users, working alongside the sales team to clearly communicate the differentiating value of our Emergency Lighting offer.
  • Engage with customers and partners from the early stages of Emergency Lighting projects and contribute directly to field action plans.
  • Support, train, and develop our sales teams by strengthening their technical knowledge of the Emergency Lighting portfolio and its value proposition across different applications.
  • Identify and promote best practices, standard configurations, and scalable solutions that make it easier for our teams to successfully position and sell the offer.
  • Contribute to the development of digital tools supporting prescription and sales in collaboration with relevant local and global teams.
  • Act as a key technical point of reference for international standards and local regulations relating to Emergency Lighting.
  • Work closely with the Emergency Lighting Offer Manager to drive pipeline generation, accelerate offer adoption, and help win opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Line of Business to identify market needs, customer requirements, and market practices.

Our Emergency Lighting portfolio

You’ll work across our Emergency Lighting offer, including:

  • Emergency luminaires, including anti-panic lighting and exit signs
  • Self-contained Emergency Lighting systems
  • DiCub
  • Central Battery Systems, including AC/AC and AC/DC solutions

Essential for the role

  • Excellent knowledge of Emergency Lighting principles, products, systems, and applications.
  • Strong ability to translate technical knowledge into clear customer and business value.
  • Ability to influence and engage different stakeholders with empathy and credibility.
  • Genuine passion for technology, innovation, and continuous development.
  • A proactive mindset and willingness to challenge the status quo.
  • Ability to learn quickly and become a trusted point of reference within the organisation.
  • A strong business development mindset with an interest in identifying and developing opportunities.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with sales teams, customers, consultants, partners, and other internal stakeholders.

Location and Language requirements

  • The role is based in our Oslo office in Norway.
  • Ability to work effectively across different customers, partners, and internal teams within these markets.

Why Schneider Electric?

  • Work with technologies and solutions that contribute to safer and more sustainable buildings.
  • Take on a highly visible role combining technical expertise, customer engagement, and business development.
  • Hybrid work model and flexible hours.
  • Inclusive, supportive and diverse work culture with a people-first approach.
  • Global career development opportunities.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits tailored to the region.
  • Schneider Electric is an equal-opportunity employer. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and identities.
