About DisplayNote
DisplayNote builds the software experience layer for shared meeting rooms and learning spaces. Think of DisplayNote as the Apple CarPlay of shared spaces. The display, hardware and meeting platform may change, but DisplayNote creates a familiar, secure and consistent experience for the person using the room.
Our two core platforms — Launcher and Montage — help organisations start meetings, share content, manage rooms centrally and create more predictable experiences across classrooms, meeting rooms and shared spaces. DisplayNote technology is embedded in hundreds of thousands of spaces worldwide through partnerships with leading display manufacturers and is also sold directly to enterprise, education and technology customers.
What you’ll do
- Support our partners: Help investigate questions and issues raised by partners, gathering the information needed to understand what’s happening.
- Reproduce bugs: Recreate reported issues, document the steps and conditions that trigger them, and provide clear evidence to engineering.
- Test and review software: Check features and partner workflows, identify problems, and verify that fixes resolve the original issue.
- Support engineering investigations: Provide expected and actual results, screenshots, recordings, and relevant technical details to help engineers diagnose issues.
- Keep issues organised: Track progress and help prepare clear updates for partners and internal teams.
- Contribute to product research: Research user needs, partner feedback, competitors, and opportunities to improve the product.
- Help write user stories: Turn findings and feedback into clear user stories and acceptance criteria, with guidance from the team.
- Improve documentation: Help maintain troubleshooting guides, product notes, and answers to common partner questions.
What we’re looking for
- A strong interest in software and a future career in product management.
- A patient, methodical approach to investigating and recreating problems.
- Attention to detail and clear written communication.
- Curiosity about how our software is used and the challenges users face.
- An ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical colleagues.
- A willingness to learn and ask questions.
You may be a student or recent graduate, preferably studying a relevant subject such as Business Information Systems, Digital Business, User Experience, Human–Computer Interaction, or Computer Science. We’re particularly interested in candidates who want to combine an understanding of software with user needs and product development. Previous professional experience is not required; examples from coursework, personal projects, volunteering, or other work are welcome.
Helpful, but not essential
- Experience testing software, troubleshooting issues, or supporting customers.
- Familiarity with issue-tracking tools such as Jira, Linear, or Trello.
- An understanding of user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Basic knowledge of browser developer tools, APIs, or logs.
What you’ll gain
Hands-on experience in partner support, software testing, engineering collaboration, and product discovery, helping you build a foundation for a career in product management.
Where this leads
We are building this role as the entry point into product management at DisplayNote, and we would rather be specific than vague about it.
As you grow in the role, the things that move you towards a Product Manager role are: the quality of your documentation and your understanding of the issues you investigate, a growing understanding of our products and the areas they serve, and demonstrating that you understand user research and how to turn it into clear requirements.
How to apply
Send your CV and a short note explaining your interest in the role to info@displaynote.com. We’d welcome an example of a time you investigated a problem or identified an improvement to a product.
