The Product Configuration Specialist ensures that customer-specific truck solutions can be processed reliably and efficiently within the customer order process. The specialist adapts and extends variant configuration models for customer-specific solutions by creating and maintaining characteristics, values, dependencies, constraints and links to relevant materials and bills of material. Working closely with engineering, order centers, customer-specific solutions teams and production locations, the specialist translates approved customer-specific solutions into consistent and reusable product configuration data. The role is an important part of the day-to-day engineering support for customer orders and helps ensure that customized trucks can be built correctly on time

Set things in motion.

• Adapt and extend variant configuration models for customer orders containing customer-specific solutions
• Create and maintain characteristics, characteristic values, dependencies, constraints and configuration rules for customer-specific options
• Connect configuration characteristics and values with assemblies, materials and engineering bills of material
• Integrate approved customer-specific materials and solutions into the relevant product structures and order-processing data
• Resolve configuration-related issues in ongoing customer orders in close cooperation with engineering, customer-specific solutions teams, order centers and production locations
• Ensure that configuration data is provided in time to support order confirmation, production preparation and downstream processes
  

Use your skills.

• Practical experience in product configuration, variant configuration, product data management or a similar engineering environment
• Good understanding of configurable products, product structures, bills of material and material master data
• Practical experience with SAP Variant Configuration, SAP LO-VC or SAP Advanced Variant Configuration
• Structured and careful way of working, with a strong focus on data quality and accuracy
• Experience in intralogistics is considered nice to have
• Fluency in English is mandatory, German is a plus
