The major function of this position is:
Under the direction of the Purchasing & Inventory Planning Manager, this person will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of Maui Jim marketing materials, packaging, POP, and all Zeal Optics material master data to support worldwide operations. This role will work with teams around the world to collect material information, coordinate activities to populate material data in SAP, and validate the accuracy the data once it is loaded. This position is the main point of contact of all material master data issues for packaging, POP, and Zeal, and will be involved in the testing of most system-related enhancements.
Hourly Rate: $22 - $24
Schedule - 1st Shift; Hybrid (4 days in office/1 day remote)
Essential Duties:
- Collect material data for marketing materials, packaging, POP, and Zeal Optics, and use Microsoft Access and Excel to prepare and validate SAP master data load files on a weekly basis.
- Coordinate master data requests and ensure that data quality meets established standards and that requests meet service level expectations.
- Work closely with multiple teams across the organization to manage data change requests, solve technical issues, and contribute to continuous improvement activities around master data.
- Works cross functionally to collect all required information needed to set up new materials and encourages cross-functional reviews of the populated values.
- Assist with converting the master data from legacy systems to SAP and EDH.
- Provide material master support for SAP enhancement testing.
- Lead continual improvements in automation efforts to reduce manual creation of master data to improve accuracy and overall data quality.
- Serve as a backup to the Master Data Analyst and provide support as needed.
Desired Qualifications:
As a guide, indicated below is the preferred education and experience for this position:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or Related Major, or minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
Experience in data management and SOP development.
Clear understanding of quality improvement concepts and techniques.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a team environment
Skills preferred for this position:
Advanced knowledge of SAP, MS Excel and MS Access required.
Strong project management, organizational and analytical skills; ability to work effectively under time constraints and deliver results by critical deadlines.
Multi-task on projects with the ability to prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to provide comprehensive analysis of a topic or business issue from beginning to end by developing the research criteria, identifying the proper data fields, identifying the correct data sources, and preparing comprehensive reporting.
Must be detail oriented with the ability to fulfill responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Ability to communicate with all levels within the organization in a professional manner.
Special Physical Requirements:
Ability to communicate in a variety of business settings.
Abililty to sit for long periods of time.
Ability to utilize a PC.
Ability to type.
