Join Text and Shape the Omnichannel Messaging Experience! At Text, we're building a suite of products that supercharge how our clients communicate with their customers. This mission is ambitious, but we're fully committed to it. Our Omnichannel team owns how customers connect their messaging channels — WhatsApp, Messenger, Telegram, SMS, Instagram, and more to come — to the Text, and how agents work across all of them from one inbox. That means designing the full lifecycle: connecting a channel, managing settings and permissions, handling errors when something on the provider's side breaks, and making sure every channel feels consistent and reliable. We're looking for a Product Designer to join our team and take ownership of the end-to-end design of these channel experiences. You'll work closely with your PM and engineering team to translate technical, API-driven constraints into simple, reliable experiences for our customers. Through research, prototyping, and hands-on verification against real APIs and real flows, you'll make sure what ships actually drives engagement and business growth. Here's what you'll be up to: Own the channel experience end-to-end: Design how customers connect, configure, and manage messaging channels (WhatsApp, Messenger, Telegram, SMS, Instagram, etc.) inside the Text — from first setup through day-to-day use. Lead the design process: Own the entire design lifecycle, from research and prototyping to pixel-perfect execution. Design for reliability, not just usability: Build clear, consistent patterns for errors, statuses, and edge cases across channels, so customers always know what's happening and why. Keep the design system healthy: Own the structure and hygiene of our Figma files so the team always has an accurate, trustworthy source of truth. Identify growth opportunities: Anticipate user needs, stay ahead of platform changes from our channel partners, and recommend where we should invest next. Collaborate closely with engineering: Partner directly with your PM and engineers — you're the go-to reference for design and UX decisions across the team. Leverage data and insights: Use product analytics and user feedback to validate hypotheses and measure whether your designs actually drive the outcome you expected. You may be a good fit for this role if you: Have senior experience as a solo designer, comfortable owning your outcome end-to-end. Have skills in using Figma, and user testing/insights tools to bring your designs to life and gather user insights. Have a strong UI foundation paired with solid UX experience, with a focus on creating intuitive, user-friendly experiences. Can distill insights from both quantitative and qualitative data, translating them into actionable design strategies and visual boards with charts, inspirations, and key takeaways. Have a technical mindset: you're comfortable reading third-party API documentation (e.g. Meta / WhatsApp Business Platform) and testing your designs against real API responses and live product flows before handoff. Think beyond just design — you're deeply in tune with product strategy and business goals and excel at identifying potential challenges early and addressing them before they become issues. Use AI to speed up your workflow (drafts, prototypes, first-pass copy) and build agents/tools that remove busywork from your day-to-day. Have a proven track record of taking ownership of projects from ideation to launch. Communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders and management, making sure both sides are on the same page. Enjoy working with people and value good team vibes.
