GENERAL SUMMARY: As a Product Director of EMX’s proprietary ad exchange (RTBx), you will play a crucial role in the growth and development of our business by providing the voice of the marketplace to the product and engineering teams. You will also work with business teams to define new requirements for RTBx. You will own the RTBx roadmap and manage expectations with stakeholders accordingly. We are looking for a knowledgeable, highly technical individual with solid experience in programmatic advertising to bring their experience to bear on our growing company. RESPONSIBILITIES: Own the RTBx roadmap. Represent the needs of Agencies, DSPs, and supply partners in product development. Translate business requirements into use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria using Jira. Work with Engineering to clarify requirements, develop estimates, and conduct planning as Agile product owner. Contribute to strategic planning efforts and the overall EMX product roadmap. Answer ad hoc business questions related to the exchange (inventory availability, who is buying, availability of user-matched traffic, etc.) Participate with industry working groups (for example, IAB, DAA, NAI) and our legal department to track developments related to consumer privacy legislation. Ensure that our platform complies with applicable legislation (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) Work with data and identity resolution providers to bring new cookie-less solutions to market for targeting and measurement. Serve as point person for ad verification efforts, working with ad verification vendors, and ensuring compliance (for example, TAG Certification). Lead EMX’s participation in IAB’s Project Rearc, so that EMX is on the forefront of industry standards for cookie-less solutions. Also serve as the subject matter expert on similar upcoming solutions being discussed in market (FLOC, SWAN, etc.) Attend industry events to keep current with topics and trends relevant to programmatic advertising. QUALIFICATIONS: Solid knowledge of OpenRTB specifications. 5 or more years of experience in ad tech in a role such as engineer, technical product manager, technical account manager, or integrations manager. Technical background (computer science or engineering degree or equivalent experience). Thorough knowledge of programmatic advertising for display, video, and CTV (DSPs, DMPs, Exchanges, ad servers, and SSPs). Capacity to break down complex technical topics into clear, digestible information. Prior experience writing use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria, and test cases. Prior experience using Jira or a similar tool. Prior experience working in an Agile software development – Scrum, Kanban, or similar methods. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and superior presentation skills. Experience interacting with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
