About Us

Ping is building the next generation of consumer agents that help people turn their interests into an edge. Whether it's finance, sports, shopping, or everyday trends, Ping transforms the topics people care about into personalized insights, helping anyone get up to speed, discover opportunities, and outthink the crowd.

Backed by top-tier VCs, we're an early-stage startup building for the US consumer market, with global ambitions. We're moving fast and looking for builders who want to shape the next generation of consumer products.

About the Role

We're looking for a Product Manager who builds. Not a PM who writes a spec, hands it off, and waits — a PM who prototypes the idea, gets it in front of users, and ships it themselves when that's the fastest path.

Our stance: in 2026, implementation cost is close to zero for someone fluent with AI tools. A PM who can't turn the picture in their head into a working thing — end to end, without waiting on an engineer for every step — is leaving most of their leverage on the table. We don't want tickets and Figma handoffs. We want the person who already made the thing and is now asking users what they think of it.

This doesn't mean you need a CS degree. It means you own the what and the why of the product, and you're technical enough to prove your ideas by building them.

What you will Do

  • Build and ship features: Take ideas from concept to working prototypes and production-ready features, collaborating directly with engineers.
  • Drive product development: Work closely with founders to define product requirements, prioritize features, and turn ideas into real user experiences.
  • Prototype quickly: Use AI-native development tools like Claude Code, Cursor, Replit, and others to test ideas and build working solutions.
  • Collaborate on technical decisions: Discuss architecture, APIs, data structures, feasibility, and implementation tradeoffs with the engineering team.
  • Own the product experience: Think through user flows, edge cases, usability, and what makes a feature genuinely valuable.
  • Learn from users and data: Gather feedback, analyze product metrics, and continuously improve features after launch.
  • Research and experiment: Stay close to consumer trends, emerging AI capabilities, and new product experiences.
  • Move fast and take ownership: Identify problems, propose solutions, and push features from idea to launch without waiting for detailed instructions.

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in software engineering, product engineering, technical product development, or another hands-on technical role.
  • Strong technical foundation: Real experience writing code, building applications, and understanding how software systems work.
  • Ability to build independently: You can turn an idea into a working prototype or MVP without relying entirely on other engineers.
  • AI-native development experience: Comfortable using tools like Cursor, Claude Code, or similar tools to accelerate development.
  • Strong product intuition: You care about what users actually need, not just whether something is technically possible.
  • Engineering collaboration: You can discuss implementation details, understand technical constraints, and make practical development decisions alongside engineers.
  • Consumer product mindset: You're interested in consumer apps, social behavior, AI products, and how people interact with technology.
  • High ownership and execution speed: You're proactive, resourceful, and comfortable working in a fast-moving startup.

Nice to Have

  • Experience building consumer social apps, AI-native products, or mobile applications.
  • Familiarity with React, TypeScript, Next.js, Node.js, Python, or similar technologies.
  • Experience working with APIs, databases, and frontend/backend architecture.
  • iOS development experience, including Swift or SwiftUI.
  • Experience with SQL, product analytics, and A/B testing.
  • Previous startup experience or experience building and launching your own product.
  • A strong understanding of US consumer behavior, internet culture, and emerging technology trends.

Why Join Us

  • Build from day one: Have a direct impact on product decisions and what we ship.
  • Work closely with founders: Be involved in both product strategy and technical execution.
  • High ownership: Your ideas can quickly become real features used by our users.
  • Move fast: Experiment, build, launch, and learn without unnecessary layers of approval.
  • Early-stage opportunity: Help shape the product, engineering culture, and future direction of Ping.

How to Apply?

We'd love to see what you've built!

Along with your resume, please share relevant projects, GitHub repositories, live applications, or product features you've personally developed.

  • We're especially interested in understanding what you built, the technical decisions you made, and how you took an idea from concept to launch.
