POSITION: Product Engineer & Technical Lead
Position Summary:
The Product Engineer & Technical Lead is a senior technical leader responsible for architecting, designing, and supporting strategic banking technology solutions, translating business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable enterprise systems. The role leads technical design across key platforms including digital banking, lending, account opening, Salesforce, MuleSoft, RPA, data platforms, core banking, item processing, and payments, while providing expertise in APIs, integrations, FDX standards, data architecture, and modern cloud and on-premises technologies. This position combines architecture and solution design with hands-on technical leadership, and based on business needs includes the development of prototypes, proofs of concept, integrations, and production-ready solutions.
Key Result Areas:
§ Lead Project/Product Architecture & Design (approximately 55% of time)
o Produce solution designs, architecture diagrams, data flow models, integration patterns and implementation specifications.
o Evaluate vendor solutions and assess alignment with CSB architecture standards, security requirements, scalability objectives, and regulatory expectations.
o Participate in architecture reviews, technical governance, and design approval processes.
o Design and govern APIs, system integrations, and service-oriented architectures.
o Analyze vendor API payloads, schemas, authentication methods, and integration capabilities.
o Develop data mapping specifications between internal and external systems.
§ Solution Development, Prototyping, & Delivery (approximately 20% of time)
o Develop proofs of concept, prototypes, accelerators, and production-ready applications in support of product and project delivery.
o Implement secure coding practices and SDLC standards.
o Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide root cause analysis.
§ Banking Technology Leadership (approximately 25%)
o Provide hands-on technical direction throughout design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production stabilization
o Serve as a subject matter expert across banking technology domains.
o Provide technical leadership for initiatives involving: Marketing, Account Opening, Online Banking, Lending Origination & Servicing, Payments, Item Processing, Money Movement.
o Provide technical leadership for the following technologies: Salesforce, MuleSoft, UI Path, Snowflake, Q2 Digital Banking, Terafina Account Opening.
o Partner with business leaders, product owners, project managers, vendors, and technology teams to define solution approaches and implementation roadmaps.
§ Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field required; relevant architecture, cloud, or technology certifications preferred.
- 10+ years of enterprise technology experience, including significant experience within banking, financial services, fintech, or other highly regulated industries, delivering technology solutions and leading complex architecture and solution design initiatives.
- Expertise in enterprise architecture, systems integration, APIs, data architecture, cloud technologies, and secure software development, including modern application, data, and integration platforms.
- Strong and recent hands-on technical background in software development, platform implementation, solution delivery, DevOps practices, and enterprise technology governance.
- Comprehensive knowledge of banking systems and processes, including digital banking, lending, payments, deposits, core banking, customer data, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Experience working with enterprise and vendor platforms, with the ability to evaluate technologies, lead system integrations, and deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and prioritize multiple concurrent initiatives, managing competing deadlines, stakeholder expectations, resources, and project dependencies while ensuring successful delivery of business and technology objectives.
- Occasional after-hours support for major implementations and production deployments.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively participate and lead vendor meetings, architecture reviews, and strategic technology planning sessions.

Salary Range: $162,175.00 - $201,000.00
The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Cambridge Savings Bank ranges from $162,175.00 - $201,000.00.
