Job Title: Product Information Coordinator
Monthly Pay: $4,284 - $5,877 USD per month
Summary:
A product information request arrives, gets checked against approved specifications, moves through review, and closes with a confirmed update. The Product Information Coordinator organizes this process so teams can find consistent product details and understand what changed. The position sits within the product management team, works under a product operations team lead, and coordinates with product managers, supplier contacts, and customer support colleagues. This fully remote, desk-based position offers work from home in Washington, United States. The role requires a 40-hour weekly commitment. Working days and shift times may vary.
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor the shared inbox and request queue for new product information requests, identifying the product, requested changes, source materials, and responsible reviewer.
- Check submitted product identifiers, dimensions, materials, compatibility details, and descriptions against approved specifications before preparing an update for review.
- Enter proposed changes into a product information management system such as Pimcore, keeping required attributes, categories, and field formats consistent.
- Organize supporting references and version notes so reviewers can trace each proposed change to its source without searching through unrelated messages.
- Coordinate review assignments with product managers, noting requested completion dates, dependencies, and questions that must be answered before changes move forward.
- Follow up with supplier contacts or internal requesters when specifications are incomplete, contradictory, or outdated, recording responses alongside the original request.
- Escalate unresolved attribute conflicts, unclear ownership, or delayed approvals to the product operations team lead, summarizing the issue and outstanding decisions.
- Coordinate approved updates with the responsible publishing colleague, checking that the intended product attributes appear correctly in the shared product catalog.
- Notify affected colleagues when updates are complete, summarize material changes, and close requests with clear notes and references to the approved version.
- Maintain request status summaries; quality is judged through accurate attributes, timely turnaround, complete notes, appropriate follow-up, and confirmation that approved changes were applied.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- About 1-2 years of experience coordinating product information, catalog updates, or related administrative workflows preferred.
- Familiarity with product specifications, attribute structures, product identifiers, and the relationship between individual products and their variants.
- Ability to use a product information management system such as Pimcore and navigate structured fields, review stages, and version history.
- Understanding of change control, source references, and the importance of retaining a clear explanation for each product information update.
- Clear written communication for requesting missing details, explaining discrepancies, and keeping product managers and other colleagues informed without unnecessary detail.
- Ability to organize concurrent requests, compare information carefully, and distinguish routine corrections from questions needing a product manager's decision.
- Access to a reliable computer, high-speed internet, and a quiet private workspace; availability for the 40-hour weekly commitment and agreed working days and shift times.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
Perks & Benefits:
- Fully remote work from home in a desk-based role focused on coordinating accurate, usable product information.
- Structured onboarding and training in Pimcore, product attribute standards, request handling, and the established review process.
- Regular check-ins with the team lead to discuss priorities, resolve questions, and receive practical feedback on completed requests.
- Build skills in product specification review, change coordination, version tracking, and clear communication across product teams.
- Benefits include health coverage, paid leave, maternity leave, bonus opportunities, and stipends.
