How you'll make an impact:
As a Product Manager with AI experience, you are the link between our users and our engineering team. You will work with users to understand what they need, and you will have the technical skills to work with engineers to deliver it. A key part of the role is finding where AI can save our customers time and effort in inventory management, and turning those opportunities into features that enterprise users love and trust.
You will explore and shape product ideas by interviewing customers, studying competitors, and testing new technology, including AI models, tools, and open source options. There are many good ideas, but only some can be built. You will work with UX, engineering, and leadership to choose the ones that matter most, and to decide where AI is the right answer and where a simpler solution works better.
What you'll do:
Turn business goals into clear software requirements.
Find and define AI use cases for Core, such as forecasting, data entry, search, and automation of routine tasks, and write the requirements for each.
Rank features based on market research, customer need, and company strategy.
Manage project scope by making trade-offs between time and cost, and between security and speed.
Set success measures for AI features, such as accuracy, time saved, and user adoption, and track them after launch.
Work with engineers to decide how to build, test, and monitor AI features, including how we handle wrong or unexpected results.
Work with Security, Legal, and Engineering to handle customer data responsibly in AI features, including privacy, data use, and cost of running the models.
Rank feature requests from the development teams.
Set the product vision and work closely with the technical team to define specifications.
Make sure the product meets business goals and user needs.
Track progress against plan and fix variances as soon as they appear.
Make trade-offs between features, schedule, and cost, based on business goals, company policies, software architecture, and team capacity.
What you'll bring:
Proven work experience in product management or as an associate product manager, preferably in B2B SaaS, with inventory management, supply chain, or ecommerce domain experience a plus.
Hands-on experience shipping at least one product or feature that uses AI or machine learning, including large language models.
Working understanding of how AI features are built and tested, such as prompts, model selection, evaluation, accuracy, and data quality. You do not need to write code.
Awareness of AI risks, including incorrect answers, bias, privacy, and cost, and how to reduce them.
Proven track record of managing a successful product through its full lifecycle.
Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and present recommendations to executive management.
Structured approach and experience with agile methods.
History of working with development teams to get results.
Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up your sleeves.
Skilled at working with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
Enthusiasm for new technology and a practical view of what it can and cannot do.
Ability to be productive in a globally distributed team through self-discipline and self-motivation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
