About the role

We are looking for a Product Manager to take ownership of some of our core AI platforms, such as our API gateway, chat platform, agentic tooling, ML platform, and retrieval and knowledge solutions.

You will contribute to determining how these platforms should develop and be used to solve relevant problems across TKH Group. This includes understanding users and stakeholders, translating company direction into a coherent product roadmap, and working with engineering teams to turn priorities into delivered capabilities.

Many of our products build on existing open-source or third-party platforms. The role therefore requires you to understand their capabilities, limitations and development closely, and to make deliberate choices about adoption, configuration, extension and integration. It is not primarily about commissioning bespoke software from scratch.

What you will do

• Own the direction, positioning and roadmap for the platforms in your portfolio.

• Gather input from users, operating companies, internal teams and leadership, and turn it into clear product priorities.

• Understand the underlying problems behind requests rather than treating every request as a feature requirement.

• Develop hands-on knowledge of the platforms, their users, capabilities, limitations and relevant open-source developments.

• Decide when to adopt existing functionality, configure or extend a platform, integrate another solution, or decline a request.

• Define intended outcomes and measures for adoption, value, reliability and cost.

• Work closely with engineering and DevOps to assess feasibility, sequence work and guide delivery.

• Maintain enough oversight of the backlog and delivery process to ensure that product intent is reflected in implementation.

• Communicate product choices, trade-offs and constraints clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Coordinate dependencies and opportunities across products and engineering squads.

• Support customer-facing colleagues in matching platform capabilities to real business needs.

What we are looking for

• Experience managing a SaaS, PaaS, AI-as-a-service or comparable software platform.

• The ability to connect company direction, user needs and technical possibilities in a practical product strategy.

• Sufficient technical fluency to explore platforms independently and work credibly with engineers.

• A curious, hands-on approach to unfamiliar and rapidly changing technologies.

• Strong judgement and prioritisation: you can distinguish broadly useful platform capabilities from one-off customisation.

• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, including the ability to challenge assumptions and manage competing expectations.

• A proactive working style: you create clarity, propose direction and drive decisions rather than only processing requests.

• A pragmatic, non-dogmatic approach to technology and product-development methods.

• Experience working with distributed, multicultural teams is beneficial.

We value judgement, learning ability and relevant experience more than seniority labels. However, this is not an entry-level role: you should be able to make grounded product decisions and take meaningful ownership.

Useful experience

Experience in one or more of the following would be beneficial:

• AI or LLM gateways

• AI chat platforms

• ML platforms

• Agents, agentic systems and MCP

• Retrieval-augmented generation and knowledge-based chat

• APIs and developer-facing products

• Cloud platforms and AI infrastructure

• Open-source software and GitHub-based development

• Product analytics, usage-based services or cost management

• Backlog and delivery tools such as Jira

Deep expertise in every area is not required. More important is your ability to understand the available technology, learn quickly and keep decisions focused on useful outcomes.

How you will work

You will act as the link between company direction, users and engineering teams. You will balance longer-term product direction with immediate needs, using evidence and direct platform knowledge to guide decisions.

You will not simply collect requirements, nor will you determine the implementation in isolation. You will work with stakeholders to define the right problem, set priorities and intended outcomes, and enable engineering teams to determine how those outcomes can best be delivered.
