Amer Sports is a sporting goods company with internationally recognized brands including Salomon, Arc’teryx, Peak Performance, Atomic and Wilson.
“The Mountain Sport Company”, Salomon was born in 1947 in the heart of the French Alps and the birthplace of modern alpinism. Salomon’s commitment to innovative design and passion for mountain sports created a vast range of revolutionary new concepts in bindings, boots, skis and apparel for both Alpine and Nordic skiing and brought innovative solutions to footwear, apparel and equipment for snowboarding, adventure racing, mountaineering, hiking, trail running, and many other sports.
Through performance driven design, Salomon delivers innovation and progression to mountain sports; converting new ideas into action and expanding the limits of possibility. Salomon’s heritage, culture, and commitment are tied together by one simple concept: the world’s leading mountain people creating the world’s leading mountain products. Salomon is responsibly committed towards the outdoor through its sustainability program. Diversity is one of Salomon’s five values, therefore we are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all.
Salomon is headquartered in Annecy, France.
Fast is more than a category, it's the on-piste soul of Alpine skiing, from World Cup racing to the everyday carving on a groomed run. It's where Central European ski heritage meets the largest commercial segment of the ski business (worldwide).
We are looking for a Fast Ski Product Line Manager to define the future of Salomon's on-piste category, connecting racing credibility, consumer insight, product innovation, and community engagement into a clear vision and strategy.
Working across Product, Design, R&D, Sales, and Brand Marketing, you will shape industry-leading on-piste products. From race-department (FIS) skis to volume carving and performance ranges, your mission is to strengthen Salomon's influence across both the racing world and the broader on-piste ski community.
Key Responsibilities
Product Leadership
- Define and drive the Fast product vision, roadmap, and segment strategy, balancing racing DNA with commercial on-piste demand.
- Lead product creation from concept to launch, ensuring performance credibility, market relevance, and commercial success.
- Translate athlete, coach, retailer, and consumer insights into products and compelling product stories that span competition and everyday on-piste skiing.
- Partner with Design, R&D, local race managers and Marketing teams to deliver best-in-class race and on-piste equipment.
Essential Skills & Experiences
- First and foremost, a skier with deep credibility in the on-piste/racing world. A former competitive alpine skier (club, national team, or World Cup level) is strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Category Management, or a related role in snow sports, racing, or performance sports.
- Strong understanding of on-piste skiing across its full spectrum: racing technique and FIS regulations, as well as commercial carving/performance products and mainstream on-piste consumers.
- Genuine, active connection to the ski racing and on-piste communities (clubs, academies, federations, ski schools, and retailers)
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and lead projects from concept to execution.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach.
Essential Competencies
- Market Knowledge: You know the on-piste landscape end to end, FIS regulations and competitive circuits on one side, retail and consumer trends on the other, along with the major players in both.
- Leadership: You can build, focus, and align teams to deliver goals. You have the technical background and the credibility to present product collections to clubs, federations, retailers, and the market.
- Collaboration: You work effectively with peers and partners to drive results, acting as an orchestrator across teams, sharing best practices, and building collaboration networks across racing and commercial on-piste communities.
Desired Qualifications
- Languages: Fluent in English; basic French with the willingness and ability to progress; German a strong plus.
- Tools: Microsoft Office
